Idiocracy!

ive bought about showing up to some of these to see if I could save some rifles from the destruction pile. I decided I didn't want any part of it though. 

Or should I say, I didn't want to be around any people that are part of this.

Generally they get 2 groups turning in guns.  1) People unloading junk they know they will get less selling to other gun people or an FFL I did that during a gun buy back in MD.  2) People who inherit or get guns and have no idea what they are worth and see them as a way to get some money for guns they have.  These are the people you see FFL setup to try and grab as they sometimes have some really nice hardware.

It is very rear they are pulling guns off the streets that might get used in a crime.  If they do manage to get one it is likely because they want to get rid a hot weapon with no questions asked.
