Florida concealed carry

Lived there for ten years. They change the laws like most change socks. Concealed only though. Check the laws online as they do have some restrictions on places where you can carry. They change them often so aI am not even going to try and remember them.

I pocket carried an LCP a lot because I was paranoid that an untucked shirt might ride up.  Their law allows for brief, accidental exposure like that, but who gets to determine what "brief" is?  I still carried IWB with an untucked shirt, but not as much as I do here.  As far as I know, printing does not count as exposed, so I did not worry what the gun in my pocket looked like.

Every time I cross the border from FL into my home state, I am relieved to switch to OWB with no worries.  Heat + humidity + Remora against bare skin gets irritating after awhile.

They mean concealed there. Otherwise, it isn't much different from Tennessee.

I'm thinking of pocket carrying a Glock 42 in an Alabama holster with spare mags, or a Shield or Glock 43 In an Eclispe or Crossbreed holster.  I want to stay small.

There's such a small difference in size between the 42 and 43, it's hard for me to justify carrying the 42. It is light and adorable, just not near as much smack.

I haven't had any success with pocket carry on pistols larger then a P-32 or P3AT/LCP for daily carry so I'd consider being able to successfully (and comfortably) pocket carry a Shield or G-43 a win.

You can't carry in the bar area of a restaurant and from what I understand you can't carry in a place that is strictly a bar or night club.  You can drink there while carrying in a restaurant.  No gun signs are just treated as a trespass issue.  Some good things and not so good like you can't carry at an athletic event legally.  Most of the list probably won't apply to you going there for business or vacation unless you are going to a professional sporting event or a bar.

I was in Destin all last week and carried a Glock 43 in a G Code holster most everywhere we went except for the times I was fully enjoying establishments such as Margaritaville and the like. Didn't have any issues at all. Only thing that really changed about my carry setup was having to leave my auto knife at home here in Tennessee.

Thanks.   So, no auto knifes.  Do they have blade length restrictions?
