  1. I’m a big fan of elzetta as well. Got one of the old m60 models, but recently switched back to my fenix pd35 tac. The tail cap on the elzetta is really sensitive and will turn on with the slightest pressure. I got sunburned on a few occasions.

  2. I'll just say this (and yes i'm biased b/c i'm originally from Little Rock)...we consider West Memphis the armpit of Arkansas. If you've never been there you will find out when you go to the KOA.

If you are not from there....you will be 'on a journey' and honestly don't need a concealed handgun license/handgun carry permit when staying at the KOA or traveling through West Memphis b/c you are away from your circle of friends....I carried in West Memphis several years before ever getting a license in Arkansas legally...and you'll find out why a lot of folks are 'on a journey' when they go there....if on a journey you have no restrictions pretty much and can carry pretty much anywhere....you can carry any sort of 'weapon' when on a 'journey' in Arkansas...switchblades, clubs, handguns, etc....Long guns are not 'weapons' in Arkansas and may be carried however you wish.

Now really...you can on your license carry in restaurants that serve alcohol...that's kind of nice because there is an Outback in West Memphis....other than that...be kind of careful where you go there...there is no law against consuming liquor while carrying in Arkansas...but if you DWI..public intox while carrying...your license/permit can be revoked.

If you like a loaded and chambered long gun...Arkansas is the place to do it...no license/permit needed to do that...put it in your car...your luggage...on the front seat....wherever....stay safe and avoid the truck stop areas at night...there are some wierdos...if you can...go up to Marion..it is a lot nicer than West Memphis if you need to get a bite to eat..there is a good Tops BBQ in Marion..and some other places like a little grocery store by the Tops....gas stations up in Marion...Marion is pretty clean.

Boy howdie thanks for the advice. I've never been to Memphis looks like my first time is going to be a treat.

  3. Good news and happy ending. We were able to fish her out of the drain last night around 10 pm. after the water had receded enough for us to go in. She was cold and hungry but otherwise unharmed.

  4. My good Buddies dog went chasing after a duck a few hours ago and got swept up in the flow of water and sucked into a sewer pipe. We can hear her in there whimpering so we know she is alive. Not much we can do till the flow of water drops to a manageable level so we can drop down for a looksee. Any spelunkers in the group?

  5. It's the most fun you will ever have. You will grow tired of the 1/2 lbs pretty quick and start making bigger and bigger and bigger charges. 8lbs is the biggest I've done. You will giggle like a school girl every time you shoot one.

  6. ugh.. don't do that. load the mag, rack the slide, then remove the mag and replace the round.

Thanks. I've always loaded mag first to +1. For some reason tried the other way for the first time yesterday...

  7. I have not seen anything about this so I thought I'd ask the question. "How do you +1 you carry ammo"? I have trouble dropping one down the pipe with my 1911 so I'll load the mag rack the slide drop the mag and add one back to the magazine. I've also found that my 1911 will not slide completely slide shut when I drop one down the pipe first...
