1. I understand what you're saying but do you think $500-700 for an auto knife is reasonable for a production knife? I've owned custom knives and I'm close friends with a very successful custom knife maker. Even he told me, if not for the artistic value/fit/finish, buy the production model for my purposes and I did. Although he did get pissed off at the manufacturer when he sharpened it for me. He ended up refinishing the whole thing, reshimming the blade, and replaced all the screws for free. I thought the dern thing was fine! Lol Although I don't carry a Filipino 1911 (I carry a Glock), it still serves a purpose. I don't see any $299 ATI 1911's rockin the holsters of any law enforcement or military agencies. But I know some carry Wilson Combats and the like. I was going to say I dont see many citizens carry cheap knock off 1911's but then I remembered that I've seen three people open carrying Hipoints within 3 years. Anyway, I hardly think that cheap $50 clones are taking away from their sales as its a completely different market.
2. You can apparently get some incredibly good chinese copies from dhgate.com for about $50. They have Benchmade, Microtech, Spyderco, Kershaws, etc... I haven't ordered anything yet but I've been reading nothing but good so far about the website and the chinese clones. There are hundreds of reviews on youtube. Heck, I believe I'm looking at actual Spyderco brand knives shipped for a fraction of what they cost here in the states. Anyone here buy from them?

3.
There is a big sign listing all the rules on the left side of the road at the main entrance
Any idea what it said? If I legally can't carry there then I don't plan on going at all. Especially with all this purge crap going around.

Decide for yourself. http://www.lebanondemocrat.com/article/crime/453331
Dang!
4. The air conditioning was definitely working. The left side of the building was freezing, the right side was warmer especially where they were cooking and by the condenser to the right of the entrance. I don't even know why the condenser is inside of the building.

5. Last Summer only a few of the air units  were working for the whole building,a few of us rented a table for the weekend and packed

up and left buy two pm on Saturday. I lost about 10 pounds and it was only about 90 degrees and no air moving with the other

side of building worse yet. If you have been there before you know to get in at open and leave by ten. it has been that  way the

last few years, doubt it it fixed yet.

Last gun show there was nice and cool - why would they not fix it? I'll be there probably first thing saturday morning.

6. I guess I should have said something earlier but are any TGO'ers heading to the free BBQ at the OK Corral (Woodbury, TN) today? They open up at noon today (Sunday, 5-25-14) and will have free food, free drinks, and vendors. $5 range fee. They had around 200 turn up last year.

7. For the record, I didn't even look at the feed ramps or the FSB. However, we didn't have a single feeding malfunction (or any other type) and the FSB must have been oriented correctly because of the groupings made with a mechanical zero were right at the point of aim.

8. And that was laying on uncomfortable gravel, using a crate as a rest, a gun I had never fired before, cheap steel case ammo, and within what - the first 30 break-in rounds of the gun? lol. I dont know why we didn't go to the rifle side and test it out at 50/100/200 yds. Both of musicmans PTAC AR's are excellent shooters!
9. I am loading 115gr plated 9mm I believe over 4.0grs of Unique. I didn't write it down or anything so I actually can't say for sure. I don't even remember if they were accurate loads! Jesus, I just realized that I am of absolutely no help here! Sorry! lol All I remember is that they cycled 100% of the time in the silly Glocks I owned at the time.

It took me hours and hours of research to come up with the grainage I used for 115gr plated & unique. For some reason the info is extremely difficult to find and was often seemed dangerously conflicting in nature. I think I also had major concerns because 4.0gr of unique actually had to be compressed to seat the bullet length properly. Anyway, like I said before I am of absolutely no help. Hopefully someone else will chime in here as I am getting ready to start reloading again very soon! Anybody know of a good load? LOL!

10. I guess I've been lucky as well. Most of my friends know I carry and those that know completely understand and respect this. I'm happy to say a lot of them now either have their first firearms or their own carry permits now. I'm quite proud of that. Even my family back home in the very democratic anti-gun state of Hawaii understand. In fact just an hour ago my dad (retired LEO) was just asking me about buying a gun. My mother who has always been anti-gun is actually the one who is urging him to get one for the house just in case! (Meth is very predominant in Hawaii). And I know, it's weird to think a retired cop doesn't own a gun but Hawaii is a VERY different place where you could just about live your whole life and never hear about or see a gun except in a movie or on tv. If you knew much about where in particular I was raised and if you personally knew my parents you would have no clue as to how I've come to love guns! Before anyone thinks ill of me or my Christian family, we are all conservative and always have been. lol!  :usa:

Where you people are meeting these inquisitive anti-gunners is beyond me!

11. Looks like I and a buddy are probably going be at the show from open to 11 or so... really just depends on how long it takes him to either sell his gun or decide to keep it.  Then we'll probably head to Jimmy John's here http://goo.gl/maps/8ObKL on Middle TN Blvd.  From there it should be about 30-40 mins to the OK Corral.

Anyone who want to join is more than welcome.  For the first hour or so I'll be walking the show with a bright blue camo Jansport knockoff bookbag on my back... should be pretty easy to spot the bearded fatty with what looks like a blueberry bush on his back. :D

I'll post here when I think we're about ready to leave the show tomorrow.

Oh, and just in case you're a first timer to the OK Corral, here's a map: http://goo.gl/maps/J7xCi

It's $5 to shoot all day.  They have some clay shooting for additional charge as well.

I guess I have to decide what I'm wearing tomorrow. I will have a gray M&P shirt, black backpack, and I will be tagging along with Mr. Blueberry (Musicman). If anyone wants to go shooting or eat at Jimmy Johns just stop one of us and say hello.

12. A friend of mine went through a 1000rd defensive pistol course with a Sigma. It did better than I expected, but was a terribly enlightening experience for him.

Enlightened in what way?
13. If a Lorcin and a S&W Sigma had a baby, this would be it. It's a $250 piece of junk.

I agree with you but in the Sigma's defense the only thing really wrong with it is the trigger. I'd depend my life on it in a minute. If it were the end of the world I'd carry a sigma without hesitation. Besides I wouldn't want to scratch my M&P!
