  1. Haven't kept up with much lately, but the walmart on the Volunteer Parkway in Bristol had 3 bulk 40 sw. I don't have anything in that, but just noticed it this evening. I think price was 89 and it was 250 rnds I think. Green and yellow box. I just glanced and am not familiar with that at all or if that is a good deal. Just saw it and thought I'd share.

  2. Sorry to hear that. That's brutal on anyone, especially kids. Best of luck dealing with the situation. Hopefully they'll understand and overcome it and not want to give up on something they enjoy because of this.

  3. Pt. 2

  4. Hope you all have been doing well. Here is an update on Jax. Sorry for the flood of pictures, I have about a million it seems. It's been fun watching him grow. First picture was the one I posted when he was 6 weeks. He's 14 weeks now. I think he's gonna be a pretty big boy.

Please post some new pictures of your pets as well. Anybody have some new additions?

  5. I have 2 pitbull terriers and a boston terrier and a mini dacshund. They are all great dogs and just remember....All a dog wants from you is to be loved!!!!!

I am at work right now so I can't post pics.

Post some when you get home if you can. I'd like to see them.

  6. Thanks guys. I'll definitely pick one up. Keep posting pictures. Looking back at Jasper pics you posted, it's crazy how fast they grow. Vet said jax will probably be a pretty big boy. 7.4 lbs and counting.
  7. Thanks for the tips. Anything is appreciated. He's doing pretty good for only being just over 6 weeks and only here for 3 days now. If he doesn't hit the pad, he's usually in the right area. I've got several spread out around. Open floor plan makes it hard to keep everything together. He loves his crate so far and doesn't really whine at all. I think it helped that his first experience being away from the other puppies and momma was a 7 hour road trip in it. (He also likes Hank Jr., Merle Haggard, and Shotgun Willie)

  8. Thanks to everybody that is sharing their pictures. All great looking dogs. Here is a few more pictures of Jax then I'll leave everyone alone. He's been a blast. My wife and I are doing a blog to keep track of him growing, so I'll have a million pictures. I'll try to spare you all of them and pop in every once in a while with one.

I'd really like to see some more from you folks. I enjoy these pictures and seeing what everyone's pets are like.

  9. Update: Drove about 14 hrs round trip last night/today to go pick the little booger up. He did great for such a long ride. He was a bit rowdy and whiny tonight, but that is to be expected.

Seriously glad to have him at home and not just a picture every few weeks. My wife couldn't make the trip, so she's accused me of already making him "Daddy's boy". He won't leave my side tonight. Can't wait to watch him grow. I'm a tad bit biased, but he's a handsome little feller, don't ya think?

  10. Just stopped by Walmart in Bristol, TN and they had the scattered variety of what everyone else is seeing, but they had 3 boxes of Federal 9mm 50rnds for 13.94. They had some Winchester Personal Defense 9mm for $22 or $23. They had some other 45 and things, but I don't have anything for that, so I didn't really look into it very much. It was still pretty bare, but I guess seeing some 9mm out this late in the evening is a good sign. They did have the 3 limit sign up.

  11. No problem at all! I'd be glad to help. The main thing I'd say is excercise, excercise, excercise. A bored Weim is a destructive and dominating Weim. And this is not an outside dog. They were orignally bred to be with thier owners everywhere they went. And trust me, close your bathroom door or you will have another companion in the shower with you with a VERY cold nose if you don't. :) And congrats on the new addition!

Thank you. He's definitely going to be an inside dog. We've done our research and I have about 3 acres fenced in, so there will be plenty of exercise and rabbit/squirrel chasing going on. That is one of the reasons we are getting a Weim. We feel we can provide a perfect place and opportunity for it and my wife is home, so they can keep each other occupied. We are looking forward to picking the little guy up in March.

Awesome dog! We have always wanted a Weimaraner, and are getting our wish. Here is our little fella that we get to pick up in March. He's less than two weeks right now.

We are going to name him Jax,

I may be hitting you up for a few pointers.

  13. Ordered a nice amount of shotgun shells from them last week. This was my first time doing business with them. Very fast shipping and everything was packaged perfectly. I will definitely continue business with them. We are getting a store here soon, too. I'm looking forward to that.

Thanks for the notice on this. .

  14. What - no Picatinny rail?  Really . . . .  ;D

That's one of the things a guy at the shop was telling me and talking about different sights, etc. I looked at several different things. I thought about a flashlight mount, but for now, I think I'm just going to leave it as is. I love the way it looks and feels and don't think much needs to be done with it. I did swap out the target loads for some 00buckshot once I was able to get a few boxes.

  15. Looks great, congrats.  My first shotgun was my evil Winchester 37A, 410.  Still have it, it is still as wicked today as it was back in 1974 when my folks gave it to me.  I do believe of my guns, it has killed more mammals than any one gun that I have (mostly squirrels).  Thus, the most evil gun that I have (evil to squirrels, good to me).

    Bring it on, pal.

  16. Looks really good.  What does this type setup cost? If you don't mind me asking. I would really like to look into getting one.

This one was $349 (Sticker had $379). After tax and background check, it came to $391 total.

They had an 8+1 shot one with the standard/traditional stock and it was about $20 or $30 more, which I like a lot, but this one felt better to me.
