I use frog lube to clean my weapons I don't think it would be to harsh. I just wonder how holster time would effect the finish. I would love to get this finish.

This is my old G23 I had and sold on here a while back. It was hydro dipped. I can't say the finish would hold up to decent use and abuse but for a range queen or occasional use the G23 did fine. No matter leather or kydex for a holster it didn't affect the finish the few times it went in one. I still wouldn't recomend Hydro Dipping on a EDC or "work" weapon.
Great advice! What a great looking gun though. I was plan on doing just the polymer something either dark green or a camo.

There are some GREAT looking guns with it. Does anyone know if someone local does it?

haha sorry about that i knew it was dipped not dripped I'm losing my mind trying to find a glock. I guess the durability is the big thing. The gun will be my carry piece so daily in and out of holster i wonder how long it would last.

Hey guys and gals. I am looking to purchase a glock here soon (hopefully). Has anyone hydro dripped their guns? Been searching around google and have read several forums and discussions and wanted a local perspective on it.

I bought a new Glock 19 Gen. 3 not long ago at LA Firearms in Union City, they had a few in stock. Had I bought it a few weeks earlier it was $495.00 OTD, paid $550.00 and was happy to get it.
They even had a decent supply of .45 and 9mm ammo in stock I took advantage of.
That cheap otd?! Man with these prices I would have bought a few! -
ATS in C'ville had one for ~$500. That was a few weeks ago though, and would require a transfer as I believe they are actually in KY.
Thanks for the heads up! Someone local has a gen 3 with about 500 rounds through it and asking 550. It just hurts me to pay that much for a used one but thats the market right now.

Can anyone even find a 19 these days? For you people who purchased recently what did you end up paying?

I use to work at the Wildhorse Saloon on 2nd. Great food and good live music. I would suggest checking that place out. I guess it depends if you want a nice sit down place or something like 12th where your packing in like sardines

Hey guys,
Just bought my first firearm (sig p2022) and i am hooked now. I have been shooting and around different firearms since i was a child so they are not new to me. Also currently waiting for my CCW to be mailed to me.
Do you really need to change your oil every 3,000 miles?

I just recently bought a used Porsche Cayenne (sold my mustang needed more carrying space) and the manual says to change the oil every 10k but i will change it every 3k just because i am anal and want the car to last forever. I actually just got done changing the transfer case, and the front/rear dif last weekend! I do all the work myself so it only cost a little for the oil and the oil filter. Lot less then what the dealer wants to do it
