Zippo featuring the USS L.Y. Spear AS-36 Submarine Tender 1973, when I could buy a carton of smokes for $1.35.

Try Smartflix.com for firearm specific info, the DVD rental cost is reasonable and a less expensive way to fix most problems.

yeah, they will work, but they stick out a couple of inches. Good for the range, but I definitely wouldn't carry with one, would definitely defeat the whole purpose of the PM.
I carry the 8-round mag in a custom leather pocket holster as a backup for my MK9 or K9, an extra mag that works for both.

Welcome to the Kahr club, but beware of the Kahr “addictionâ€. Here's a link to some interesting Kahr info.

Ok I've got an older 870 express magnum that I would like to go tactical with. I read about cutting the barrel and that seemed easy enough. Any suggestions on aftermarket stocks? What about magazine extension? I would like to mount a light to the foregrip too. I would like to do this a cost friendly as possible as I'm already probably devaluing the gun.
AGI Gunsmith DVD "Building the Fighting Remington 870" takes a stock 870 to tactical. Modifications, finishes, furniture, and accessories are covered in the conversion and the DVD can be rented from Smartflix. It's a hands-on detailed instruction and great start for your project.

Gunbroker.com and CDNN have always been my first choice, but have used the following for local buys. My best deals were from Legend's in Athens, hated it when they closed.

Gobble won't auction the firearms as before, he sells them to FFL dealers or utilizes them as trade offsets for new weapons for his department. While for certain that's a step above destroying the firearms, his explanation for disposing of the firearms in this manner would seem to bely his public profession of faith in private gun ownership with use of suspect reasons (unsafe, cheap, dangerous, unreliable.)
Seems to be the smart choice, it helps the Sheriff’s fiscal needs while keeping the county out of the gun trade. Let the FFL’s warrant their sales and deal with the liabilities. The worthy firearms will still reach the citizens. I don't see that as an issue of gun ownership.

There was a black bear incident in 2006 in the Cherokee National Forest near Benton Falls, Polk County. The second of two recorded bear attack fatalities in TN. While bear spray is always my first choice for deterrence, I would like to carry my 357 magnum on the trail too.

When Rep. Zach Wamp runs for governor in 2010, I'm voting for Sheriff Tim Gobble to take his place in Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District. Does anyone remember how the gun-control legislation of 1993 changed the U.S. Congress during the 1994 elections? The mid-term elections are not that far off.

I had a couple of regular Ponce zippo's. I was on the Ponce in '73, aft-engineroom snipe. I remember a couple of the Plank Owners that brought her to Norfolk. I came aboard after a back-to-back Carib cruise in December. I transfered to the Spear when the Ponce went to dry-dock in '75.
