Thanks for the compliments.
The Highpower matches at MCGC start Saturday March 7th. The first match is unregistered so everyone can get the bugs worked out. The rest of the matches are NRA approved and will be the first Saturday of each month through October. November is the John C. Garand match. Firing starts at 9:00 am for all matches with registration at 8:30. It costs $20 to shoot the match which includes all NRA fees. The Garand Match is $30 but that includes ammo and lunch.

Rashgunner is right about the dues at the MCGC. The rifle and pistol ranges are open at 1:00 Saturday and Sunday. There are three pistol ranges and a 200 yard rifle range with covered concrete firing points. The shotgun side has several trap and skeet fields and a clubhouse. All ranges can be opened during the week with a 48 hour notice. Hope this helps.

I bought a Simmons scope from Midway that I have been more than satisfied with. They are on sale:

I had one for a while. They are Thompson magazines but the magazine catch hole is oval instead of round.

The Muary County Gun Club, Columbia, TN is having its annual Garand Match next weekend, Nov. 1. Although I have not shot their in a while, they used to have (and probably still do) several club M1s for shooters to use. You must supply your on ammo or make arrangements to purchase it from the club. They used to have it available for sell at the match at DCM/CMP prices. I do not know whether or not the ammo is still available.
I am a little late in joining the forum for you to shoot the match but we have a regular highpower match each month at the Maury County Gun Club. We start back up in March on the first Saturday. The last match of the year is in November and it is a John C Garand match, but you can shoot your Garand at any of the matches. PM me if you want more info.

Been lurking and reading for a while now. Great site!
As the name implies I shoot NRA highpower and run a monthly match at the Maury County Gun Club from March through November. I also have shot in a few IDPA matches and some small-bore. Been collecting and shooting about as long as I can remember and like all kinds of firearms. I also reload for everything I shoot which includes several calibers from 222 to 45-70 in rifle and .380 to 44 magnum in pistol.
Mailed my application for a C&R Monday so now I'm just waiting to get it back. Thought I might aught to get it in the works before the change of power in Washington.
Again you have a great site here, thanks for letting me be a part of it.
