The moon clip and speed loader is her requirement.

My wife wants a revolver. Both of us are new to shooting, so we are not familiar with the makes and models available.
She wants one where there cylinder hinges out, so she can load all rounds at once, using a moon clip or speed loader.
She has long fingers ( she's six feet tall) so she wants a gun that feels good in her hands. But, she doesn't have strong hands, so lighter weight and low recoil is a plus. (I know lightweight and low recoil may not go together. )
Caliber, bigger than 22.
Thanks for your help.

Well, we made it safe and sound. Tomorrow ( June 7) out "stuff" will arrive . Hope to have it all unloaded by Friday. At least coming off the truck will be downhill.
Already met one gal with a carry permit. She will let us know next time she goes shooting.

Hello everyone,
My wife and I are moving from Minnesota to Butler, TN in June. We've been vacationing in the area for about 8 - 10 years and decided to move. I won't miss the Minnesota winters, taxes, bad roads and liberal politicians.
I'm pretty new at being a gun owner. I think when I receive my TN drivers license, I will go buy another handgun, just because I can (without needing a carry permit or permit to purchase a handgun).
We might even take up fly fishing.
The plan is to rent a house in Butler, find work (Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson City area) then buy a house with a few acres. Hopefully with a good spot for a pistol range. My wife loves shooting our 9mm. Said we might need to buy a S&W Governor, just in case she sees a snake. ;-)

Thank you all for the replies. It's always a pleasure to learn from other's experiences.
She wants a revolver for carry. Our main home defense gun is a Springfield 9 mm semi auto. We keep it racked and loaded, so all she has to do is pull the trigger. She is comfortable shooting it, just not loading it and racking the slide.
She likes the trigger and no recoil of our Ruger Single Six. It doesn't feel good in her hands, and loading is slow (one round at a time).
She does not like loading the magazine or racking the slide on the 9 mm, hence the desire for a revolver.
We have taken a gun safety class together when we lived in Minnesota. (Glad we are out of the cold).
I think our next step will be to visit our local conceal carry instructor. Talk to him and try out as many guns as we can.
Thanks again.
