I have only shot mine a few times but really like everything about it. My brother has shot his a bunch and is very satisfied. No issues or complaints so far.

Bought it and equipped it with a Nightforce scope and rings.  Can't wait to shoot it.

  2. Just curious to know if any of you has experience with this rifle?   The one I'm looking at is brand new in the box and is chambered in .308.  Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  3. I just purchased a 6" KKM barrel for my Glock 20.  It is of very good quality and my accuracy has improved considerably (I shoot mostly 155 grain XTP from Underwood).  I have kept the OEM should I ever want to sell/trade the weapon.

Can you elaborate on this?  Thanks, Jared.

Like someone else said, drop in a 3.5lb disconnector and see how that treats you.  If you're looking for more than that I can help you out without breaking your wallet, send me a PM.

Thanks bro.  Installed the 3.5 lb OEM connector and problem solved.  Shoots like I want it to now.  -Jared

Order an OEM connector.  Will report back after it is installed and I make a trip to the back 40 to test.  Thanks all.  -Jared

  6. I have now put several thousand rounds through my Glock 20 and I am just not in love with the trigger.  It is a bit too spongy for me and doesn't break like I want it to break.  Can any of you recommend someone in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area?  I'm looking for first-class work so I'm willing to open the wallet.  I hardly ever modify a stock Glock but this is going to be the exception.  Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

No experience on the bear hunt side but that's probably your best choice in ammo.   I carry a Glock 20 Gen4 with me during hunting season in case I run into any un-friendlies and usually carry Underwood 10mm 200gr.  How do you like the KKM barrel?  Been thinking about one.

I love the KKM barrel.  Great quality and accurate as heck.

Well, I took the new 20 out for a test drive yesterday. It ran great as expected! I just shot it bone stock with factory 200gr FMJ. I punched out the center with the first shot. It felt great, and I really enjoyed shooting it. No issues with just 50 rounds. I'll put it through the paces when I have more time. I'll post a pic when I get one since that's the "rule", but it's a glock :) the

I have a Safariland ALS OWB holster for it now. That will work for woods carry, and I plan to try a shoulder or chest holster at some point or when I'm on the tractor.

Check out the "undertaker" shoulder harness from HighNoonHolsters.  I carry my Glock 20 + two full mags in that rig.

I own a 43. I don't own a shield, but do own a lot of other pistols. Pistols are real personal things. I carry my 43 a lot, because it has the best features for carry. I would much rather shoot several of my other pistols. My Glock 19 is probably my favorite. Point is, I don't have my 43 because it fits my hand better. I have it because it fits my belt better. But, that's just me. I don't shoot pistols a lot, and have plenty to choose from when I do. Most folks are gonna practice with their carry gun more than me. Just pays to think about it before you drop the cash.

I too own and carry a 43, but I do love my 19.  The 43 (IMHO) really is a perfectly concealable weapon in a great caliber.  I carry mine in an IWB holster made by HighNoon holsters.  It is so comfortable I don't even notice it's there.  I also like the quality of the Glock build.

I had a guy get road rage on me yesterday simply because he was mad that I merged in front of him. I signaled and waited as long as I could before simply having to move over. He then got really aggressive. I remembered this thread and simply ignored him. Life is too short to get worked up over someone's driving.

    You got that right.

I shoot 200gn hard cast Underwood in my 20. It is very accurate! I have not observed any leading. When I back up to about 30yds from the target board, I can hear the SMACK of that slug hitting the board, lol. I've never chronoed it, but I know it hits hard. The accuracy amazes me.

I carry it as my "woods gun".

Are you shooting out of the stock barrel?

Underwood is great ammo for the 10mm.  Never chrono'd either but 10mm definitely has a bang.  Enjoy my Gen4 G20 a lot.

Shot another box of the same loads today.  Love this stuff.  Checked all the shell casings for anything unusual.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  Will be buying more of this ammo.  Maybe 180 grain as well.

  13. Wow.  Shot a magazine full of these in my Gen 4 Glock 20 yesterday.  Accurate as heck but they sure do generate some recoil!  I don't own a chrono but Underwood advertises the velocity at 1500 fps. Any of you have experience with other Underwood loads for the 10mm, especially the heavier bullets?

Hi Dave.  Thanks for the thoughtful response to my question.  I'm not much of an internet guy so forgive me if my question seems strange for a first post.  But anyway, I have lot's of experience with many types of firearms, both rifles and handguns, but have never owned either a .40 or 10 mm.  I know this might sound naive, but I'm struggling to understand why anyone would prefer the .40 over the 10 mm?  My EDC is a 9mm and I feel that is adequate for personal defense.  When I'm in the woods I carry a .44 or .41 mag revolver, but I'm thinking a high capacity 10mm Glock (model 20?) might be a better option.  I guess my real question is what niche does the .40 fill that the 10 mm won't cover?  -Jared

    Bought a Gen4 Glock 20 soon after I made this post!  Now I can say I've never owned a .40 but own a 10mm.

Yes although if you want to shoot some high powered loads (220gr), hardcast or lead ammo you may want to consider a KKM barrel for the Glock 20.  I carry a Glock 20 Gen4 for deep woods protection and have been very happy with it.  I carry Underwood 200gr ammo in it.  I've always heard that the 10mm will crush bone as opposed to .40S&W in case you piss off mama bear.  I like the .40S&W and 10mm.  I shoot both and my EDC is a G27.  You won't be disappointed with a G20.

Just got a box of Underwood 155 grain XTP.  Will run it in the Glock 20 tomorrow to see how I like it.

That looks great. But you indicated some reluctance about it for indoor use. May I ask why you said this?

Yes, I am reluctant to recommend it for indoor use. If I stand in front of a light source (TV, lamp) in a dimly lit room the sight is difficult for me to see.  But outside it works great.  Tried it again yesterday after the clouds rolled in - still excellent results.  I'll definitely keep it on the Glock 20 for daytime woods excursions.
