  1. I've had the stoeger M3500/3000 for about 10 years (different ones) and love them. Bought the first one as a entry level gun and just never upgraded. Never have had a problem with it while many people I hunt with have had hang ups with their $2k plus guns, a lot of that is how you take care of them also. For the price point you cant beat them. A lot of people dog them but I've had a great experience with mine, Own 2-12ga.'s and 2-20ga.'s, they all had good patterns and very reliable, even when you fall down walking through a rice field and sink it... multiple times. 🙄

you can take sandpaper and lightly sand the grip to your comfort.

I've heard other people mention that too, just have a hard time doing that to a new/newer gun. Once I get some wear on it I might try that.

  3. Been carrying the shield since they came out, have tried other options like the hellcat, 43 and a couple other micro pistols but always go back to the shield. Its my comfort gun, been carrying it for so long I feel naked without it. But its whatever fits the individual and what you like to shoot. I would agree with the earlier mention of the shield plus grip texture is a little rough. I have the plus but go back to my older shield in the summer when I don't have a tee-shirt between the grip and skin.

I wish we still had the Nashville Community Education program, but it got its funding cut during the Covid lock downs and never resumed. They had neat classes like canning, cast iron primitive cooking, gardening, sewing, paper making, etc. in addition to various ethnic cooking classes, sports classes (like fencing 🙂 ), music classes, computer skills, writing, painting, and more.  😞

Yea, that's a shame. That is sort of what I was looking for.

  5. In the spirit of this topic "planning for trouble", can anyone recommend some training sources in the Nashville area that a person could attend. Not necessarily specific tactical or hardcore survival training but something geared towards living a more simplistic life without all the luxury's we have now. Sort of like a Amish or Mennonite training guide😁. Not to be funny but that way of life has been forgotten by most.
