(There, maybe that damned "Please, oh please post something" warning will go away...)
Just posting to get rid of the note too

So when are you leaving Knoxnille, they still have cameras, don't they?
Yes but we only have the red light cameras (they are easy enough to avoid)
The speed cameras are where I draw the line.

I got one for failure to stop (right on red) in Jackson. The clip showed that I moved probably 12 ft in a 4 second span but didn't completly stop, nothing in the intersection, no speeding thru the light to try to beat it, I'm not sure the light was even red, couldn't tell, paid it. But I can tell you that Jackson has lost much more than that $50 from me in taxes since then. I use to shop a lot in Jackson but I think the only money I've spent there since January is dinner twice and will stay that way. I don't live there though I pass thru a few times a week so it's easy not to leave my money there.
Same here...I refuse to go to or through Oak Ridge because of the speed cameras.

All good points above...However a right that is earned instead of given(this is not in any way meant to slam those who have paid the the ultimate sacrifice) is much more precious. Or as my dad would say "If it was easy everyone would do it."

I love mine, so many carry options. Be sure to install the finger extension on the magazine ...you will not be disappointed.

be careful with dish right now until the smoke clears from their lost lawsuit against tivo. They are going to have to halt DVR service shorlty and could possibly not be able to offer it for a long period of time or even ever again. (taken from Analyst: Dish May Have To Shut Down 8M DVRs After TiVo Legal Loss - 2010-03-05 15:23:22 | TWICE )
We had Directv for years, during that time our bill rose to almost $70 for basic services.
We have switched to Dish and our bill is less than half.
BTW I did not go with the DVR we still have an old skool Tivo box with lifetime service.

School Name: Small Arms Training
Location: Junior's Restaurant Rockwood,TN
Primary Instructor: Gene Sutton and Chris King
HCP Class Cost: $65
Phone number: Chris King 865-354-1056
Your Personal Experience: This is a great group of guys, that make you feel comfortable. They hold there class in the back room of Juniors Restaurant and shoot at the Rockwood PD range, which isn't anything more than a gravel parking area with 12 piece's of plywood nailed to some post. It's nothing fancy by any means, but it gets the job done! Notice the price was $55, starting in Jan. he is going up to $65 to cover the rise in his insurance cost, still one of the best deals out there.
+1 Great course for the money!

What weapon would you want to have right then? All I could think is I would want a glock 23 with a good hollowpoint. And I sat half of today trying to think what would happen if that glock FTF.
I know I want a glock 23 on my side. Should I worry that if a situation arise like that, I have any brand of ammo loaded, point at a pumpkin, that it will FTF?
Any opinions, situations, comments. Thanks
Good choice on the Glock!
Now what I think you should do is take it to the range (every chance you get) and shoot it, until you are 100% confident in your weapon and ammo.
+1 on the FTF drills...I need to pick up some dummy rounds and practice that myself.

"I don't think this is that complicated an issue," Becker said.
Of course it's not complicated to him...He knows so much more than the unwashed masses!
-
I'll be there...What's the main door prize this year?
-
I would think it would have to be conspicuously posted near the entrance to the entire store, not just the bank section.

^If the cop was unsure how to proceed when the OP informed him he was carrying; imagine how the officer would have reacted if the OP was printing, or the gun was exposed while reaching for his card, etc.
We were taught in our HCP class that it is better to advise the officer of your armed status during the initial contact than to surprise them.
ETA Where did that quote on your sigline come from?

I was just reading reviews on it and it sounds like a place I need to visit. Thanks billkill! Is it in the same shopping center as where the Walmart USED to be?
Yep, if you are facing the shopping center it is on the far left.

Best in Knoxville IMO

As strange as it sounds, my wife prefers shooting my G22 (.40 S&W) over her .38, you might want to take her to a range that rents guns and let her try out several.

Bump for a good catch!...My nephew has one (G17) I'll ask him about this.

Gots me a new BBQ Smoker and seasoned it Sunday.

Good one!

I love my Garmin and use it daily.
I actually plugged in all of the locations of Knoxville red light cameras; when I get within a thousand feet of one it alerts me.
If anyone wants the file, PM me.

my mosquito doesnt really have any more ejection than say the XDM 40 that i shoot on occasion, unless you mean something else by that.
That's what I meant, we had a guy with a .22 that rained hot brass on the lady next to him!
The RO wound up asking him to move to the end of the line.
-
I would (and did) use the gun I carry (Glock 22).
My sis in law borrowed her husbands XD.
She had a .38 snubby that was a little too snappy for that many rounds.
One thing, if you do use the .22, watch where the brass goes.

Thanks!
I live in Knoxville, but work in Mascot.
I hope your storm is not heading west!
