  1. Looking at this gun to carry inplace of my PT940 any input. I haven't fired one yet just put one in my hands I do like the way it fits. I have also looked at the G27 but like the Walther better.

I carry the Walther PPS .40 over half of the time and it has my vote. Great gun for concealed carry for sure!

  2. Depends on what you are looking for. If you want a NEW car, disregard this. If thats not an absolute requirement, you may want to take a look at a pre-owned Mercedes E55/E63 AMG. Full sedan functionality and bigger balls than any of the cars you have listed. You could get one in the price range you are looking in but you still have the maintenance cost of a 90k car. Just a thought. Good luck!

  3. that e2 should serve any purpose one could ask from a handgun..just seems like a great combination of size, capacity, cartridge, and trigger. night sights?

Thanks. Yes, it did come with night sights. Now I just need to get out and shoot these things.

  4. Well, I bought my first two Sig's this week to add to the collection. Haven't shot either of them yet but hope to very soon. Sig AR 516 and a P229 e2 .40.

Hope they shoot as good as they look and feel. :D

  5. I got my Crossbreed MiniTuck today. So far, I like it alot. I just ordered one for my PPS since I will carry it the most in the warmer weather. I upgraded to the Horsehide as well for an extra $10 and with the 10% off NRA coupon, it almost paid for itself.

The bad part it is, now I am on a hunt for the "perfect holster" and just ordered 3 more IWB hosters from DM Bullard for various guns. 8 week lead time for these guys but from what I hear, it will absolutely be worth the wait.

  6. You might try contacting FNH...ask them about a "Shooters Pack"...When I picked up the 40 I got a double mag holder and a BLADE holster rig...all I did was provide them with proof of purchase...plus they threw in a couple ball caps and a T shirt

Great advice, thanks! I'll give that a try.

  7. I've had my eye on this for a while now and finally got it this weekend. Nice addition to growing collection. Not exactly the best conceal option like the PPS but that's not why I bought it! :D

I haven't shot it yet but can't wait to do so this week. Anyone else have any experience with the FNP 45?

  8. Going to get a new one tomorrow

im tossed between the glock 22 and the springfield XDM

both about the same but the xdm is more expensive...

    however

I like the feel of the xd better

    just wondering your thoughts

I personally prefer the XD but go with what feels best to YOU. Sounds like you already figured out which one that is. Good luck!

  9. I've had pretty good luck with the .40 cal walther PPS. It's very compact, highly concealable and is everything I need it to be. It's may be slightly over your $500 budget but you should check it out.

Need some help, I am new to pistols. I have now a Rossi 38 special (CCW) and I am going to buy a pistol next. I know I want a 40 caliber compact (CCW), pretty sure a double action. Up in the air about a safety leaning towards yes. What would be some recommendations. I need to stay in the $500 or less range.

    Appreciate any help and ideas.

Sorry about thread title I was at work and its early morning.

  10. Hi folks-

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've seen a lot of posts about calling into Lisa Knight after 30 days or so to get things sped up. I've also seen that it is sometimes very hard to get them to answer the phone.

Yesterday evening I decided to try a different tactic and send an email to Lisa rather than calling for a status. I was very nice and provided my TNDL# and politely asked for a status.

She responded first thing this morning and said it was approved and I will see it in 14 days or less! I sent the application in 35 days ago.

Just an FYI if you are not able to get an answer on the phone - try emailing her instead.

    Her email address is:

    Lisa.Knight "at" state.tn.us
