Does anyone know if the TN law that allows you to carry a firearm in a motor vehicle without having a HCP also applies to a motorcycle? My bike has several storage boxes and a lockable glove box in which I could carry a pistol. It is considered a motor vehicle but is it really when it pertains to the firearm carry law?

I've owned one for a few weeks now and it's definitely a fun gun. Unfortunately it's the purple model. Real men don't shoot purple guns  . It's momma's pistol but she does let me shoot it if I'm a good boy.

Show at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds in Crossville. $5 admission. Hours 9-5 on Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday. From an ad in the local paper: "300+ tables for gun & knife vendors, outdoor activities & exhibits, and educational classes & exhibitions on gun safety, hunting, and archery." Billed as the first annual Cumberland County Gun & Knife Show. Keep in mind that the 127 Yard Sale will be in full swing at the same time so traffic could be a pain.

There is a show scheduled for Aug 6-7 in Crossville at the fairgrounds. Perhaps it will be better than the Cookeville show. I saw an ad for it in the local paper with a local contact number for info. Maybe it's being locally promoted but I don't know for sure.

Yes according to the local newspaper and the Smoky Mountain Gun & Knife Shows Home Page .

Guys, I just saw a coupon in the local Crossville paper that a Great American Gun and Knife Show has been scheduled at the Community Complex (Cumberland County Fair Grounds) for Nov 28 and 29. I have not seen this advertised anywhere else yet. A previous gun show was canceled without warning so maybe this one will happen.

I agree that getting a HCP is the best way to go. I was just curious if anyone had first hand knowledge about the law and motorcycles. Would the law be subject to local leo interpretation if the situation came up where I had to use said pistol for personal defense such as road rage or some degenerate trying to assault me or the wife out in the middle of nowhere.
