  1. My regular doctor retired a few years ago and I never picked a new one.  Can anyone recommend a doctor they like in the downtown Chattanooga area?  Is there any benefit to seeing a doctor that's part of a hospital Erlanger/Memorial?

I know it has no bearing on medial abilities but it'd be nice if he were a gun enthusiast, outdoors man, hunter, fisherman, etc.

    Thanks!

  2. UPDATE:

I drilled holes, prepped the area, an craked open a new tube of epoxy I had laying around only to find one side had somehow set-up.  So I gave some high temp RTV a try.  Suprizingly its holding up well.  Hope this might help someone else.

  3. I just got one of my dad's old brass tumblers full of media and .308 brass.  I fired it up and media poured out onto the floor.  I found a crack on the tumbler body where it seems something has struck it.  Is this worth repairing?  Even if possible?  Would an epoxy type glue fix this given its vibrating nature?

  4. My hours were just cut in half at my current full time job and I need something to make up the difference or another full time position. I am currently an engineering tech at a PME firm and also have architectural experience. I am more than willing to consider other lines of work as money is quickly running out. If anyone knows of any openings please let me know. I have a resume ready to email for anyone who can help.

Thanks for anything anyone can do,

    Brandon

  5. You should be good. If you tan it with the "hair on" no problem at all (except maybe for some missing hair). If you are going to tan it for leather you may have some slight discoloration (bruising) on the skin. There should be plenty of good meat left. Don't waste it. A little soaking in ice water will remove the blood (bruising) from the meat. I hope this helps you out.

Well this will be good info for next time (although I hope I never hit another deer with my car). I had the hide sitting out last night salted and rolled up and some critter came and ran off with it. Thanks for the help!

  6. How about a deer that's been hit by a car? I smoked one this morning and since there arent any holes and the meat is bruised I'd like to do something with the hide. Think it's damaged where the impact was?

  7. My current favorite is my Marlin 1895 in 45-70 with the barrel cut down to 16 inches. It has a Leupold 2x scope mounted up front. Very fast target acquisition. It is a sweet little thumper!

I'm in the market for a new deer rifle and I have always considered one of these. Tell me more about it. How does that caliber shoot? I really like the setup you have there...
