I love my PM40, and compared to the PM9 the size difference is just enough to accommodate a .40 instead of a 9... I'd venture to say the difference in weight is more noticable than the size, but that's just a guess since I've never carried a PM9.

Went to the Walmart in Knoxville on Chapman Highway Wednesday and bought many boxes of Blazer Brass in .40 and returned this afternoon to grab the remaining boxes I had left behind, but of course they were gone...
But on a good note, Wednesday and today (Saturday) their shelf was literally overflowing with Blazer Brass in 9mm. I'd say they had more boxes of it than I could count! If anyone is in need of some cheap 9 its there waiting for you.

The question is: Do you feel like your life is in danger when a gun is pointed at you?
The law actually defends you if you fire your firearm in a justified self defense situation where said firearm is prohibited. Sadly, i cant find the darn thing for the life of me because i'm on a Treo right now. Maybe fallguy can post the link to said law. Eh. eh?
The answer to this question IMO would be... I'd like to think that most people would feel that their life is in danger with a BG with a gun in the confines of a classroom, especially when pointed at you.
But still, this brings up the question of why you, the good guy, had a gun in the classroom to begin with. I'm willing to bet that everyone in the classroom, except for the BG, would be extremely greatful that you were armed but I wonder what the radicals who were outside of the classroom and out of harms way would think...
Ultimately, I think there is no single correct answer to my question (if you don't see eye-to-eye with the current law) and that it all comes down to a personal decision.

Well how would you know if the guy only wanted your wallet or wanted another Virginia Tech?
That's what I was getting at. Unfortunately, we all know from other threads that there is only one way to find out if you would get in trouble and how much sh** you might be in...

Another Gun-free zone failure. Defenseless disarmed victims. I found this on a local Memphis blog I read- I do not have the link to the original article. Seems like a jframe might be a better gift for a college student than would an Ipod. --ZenDog
This begs the question of would said armed college student be considered a hero or a hero with a new criminal record, if they felt the need to eliminate the threat instead of losing a wallet and such...?
As a college student myself the thought has gone through my mind but I've always considered a college campus to be one of those restricted areas that I would never carry in.

I agree with the others on the price range. I spent two months looking for a PF-9 at a price I wanted to pay. And also two months on a waiting list at the shop that had the best price that I could find, but they did not know when they would get some more in.
As someone else mentioned Coal Creek has good prices on them and I missed buying one twice by a day or two. At this point I'd say anything below $300 otd is an okay price, but if your patient you can probably get one for a little less as others have mentioned. I got impatient and just bit the bullet and got a PM40 (did not want to wait on a PM9 to come in) and could not be more happy but it was more than I wanted to pay...

You might want to try this out, I have one and really like it. A Marmot Wet Rib (or Dana Design Wet Rib). It attaches very snug and is very convinent, yet you do not even know it is there. I did a quick search on the interent and the places I found were sold out but maybe you can find one somewhere, should be about $20-30. By far the best, and only, add on to the outside of any of my packs.
Here's some old reviews: http://www.thebackpacker.com/gear/backpacks/dana_design_wet_ribdry_rib_pack_assessory.php
And maybe a picture I stole from the internet...

Well I'm no expert but... I was lead to believe that the punch marks were for hardness tests when they were sent to be refinished. If they had more than one punch mark, they might have been refinished more than once. But who knows, I've heard various rumors also. But what I do know is that I own one and also love the heck out of it. Great guns!

I think that CZ's are one of the best deals on the market right now. I'm a proud owner of the P-01, P-06, and of course the CZ 52. These three will never be sold.

I have the P01 and the P06 which are both also "compact" CZ's and I love them. I have no complaints and would buy extras if I had the money...

I've ordered several things from them and have always had good service. They had the best price on the stuff I needed.
