  1. BUCKHORN HUNTING AND FISHING, located in Oneida, Tn in Scott county. Good Christian folks that will serve you well, if they don't have it, they will get it for you.. Best prices I have seen

anywhere. Big selection of handguns, long guns, bows, reloading supplies, rods, reels. I have been a customer for over 20 years.

  2. Picked up a new Ruger P95 stainless the other day. I think I like it alot. I like the feature

of a manual safety. The P95 in my opinion compares alot like the S&W 5906. The controls

are all very reachable with my hands without shifting my grip. Seems like a very well made

and well designed weapon. The grip area is finished with a good looking stippling surface.

The rest of the frame is finished with a very non shiney flat black appearance. The stainless slide has a beadblast finish that would make a S&W blush. The one that I have

is very tight in the fitting of the slide to the frame and the barrel to the slide. I had one

failure to feed---the very first shot--- I had loaded a full 15 round mag--chambered the

first round and topped off the mag back to 15 rounds. The chambered round fired and

jammed on the first round in the mag. I cleared the jam, put the round back in the mag,

sling shotted the slide and fired all 15 rounds with no more jams. All 16 rounds printed in

a nice 5 inch group. I have not had any jams or problem since the first shot on the range.

I am carrying it now in a IWB holster with a thumb break. The P95 is just a tad lighter

than the 5906 that I used to carry on duty. The single action trigger is sweet. I have had glocks, hd,s and sigmas and just have not warmed up to striker fired weapons. I like

this Ruger pretty good---think I'll keep her.

  3. Start using Speer Lawman 158gr+P practice rounds. Take a 9 inch white paper plate

with a 2 inch magic marker circle in the center. Start your shooting practice at what

ever range you can put all five rounds in the 2 inch circle and gradually move out

from there. You may find yourself "starting" at five or ten feet, it dosen't matter===just keep working at it. When your not at the range shooting, practice

at home with empty gun....dry firing.

  4. Need some help from you XD experts. I have a XD45LE. It is a 4 inch Service size weapon in 45GAP. I am looking at holsters and I am not sure

what size I should be looking for......the XD45LE being 45 Gap and not 45acp is not very popular in holster listings as there are not many out there I am thinking that all XD "service size" are the same physical size and the XD45 may be a little bigger???-------------I just don't know.
