  1. For live sports I suggest this:    http://neolive.eu

I do not mess with the Desk top streaming stuff. Just click on the link to the show you want to watch.

The resolution isn't the greatest and sometimes the stream isn't great, but I use it to watch out of market NFL games (I'm a Packer fan).

Like many Interwebs things, be careful what you click on. Stick to the links for specific shows and you should be OK.

  2. Why is it that all the great deals of firearms or gear is always on the other side of the state......Both deals were by the same gentleman. First a nice deal on a Marlin 60 and 2k rounds of ammo for $200......and a super sweet deal for 1K rounds of 9mm for $225. Where are all the deals in God's country, East Tenn?

    We like it here!   :usa:

  3. Planning on one of the TGO lowers and was thinking about buying the Billet upper as well when the time comes.

I have not built an AR before but would like to give it a shot. (pun intended) From basic reading here I understand that special tools would be required to build the upper.

    What tools are needed?

Is building an upper not a good idea in my case? Would I be better off with a strippped upper and would I still need special tools?

    Appreciate any info and advice.

  4. Aren't STYG laws a defense, kind of like having a HCP is defense against it being illegal to carry a gun in TN? IOW in the absence of STYG it is simply a case of self defense.

I thought duty to retreat was specifically written into some state laws just as STYG is written into some state laws. Again, in the absence of duty to retreat an incident is treated as self defense.

With these understandings it seems that battling STYG laws is not going to fix any perceived problems as felt by the black community. A spokeswoman said today that "We owe it to the Martin family to try to get rid of that law."  But as we all know, that law has/had no bearing on the Zimmerman case. A lack of STYG would not have changed anything as he used self defense as his defense and was found not guilty.

As usual, I guess "they" feel like they need to so something, even if it doesn't really address the perceived problem.

  5. I highly recommend Bennett's Barbecue for Breakfast, lunch, and supper.  Best breakfast in Gatlinburg IMO.  Another fun and inexpensive activity is river tubing in Townsend.

And seeing as the water tends to be a little low in the summer I bet it's great right now!

  6. I grew up in WI and watched Dick race and win many a Sat. short track race. I was only in grade school and would go to the races with my dad.

I remember catching up to Dick one night after a race and getting his autograph on the race program.

He always raced a purple Ford #99.

    RIP Mr. Trickle.

Senator Pat Toomey has finally posted the full text of "The Public Safety And Second Amendment Rights Protection Act," the so called gun Senate compromise bill, agreed upon by Toomey, Joe Manchin, and Chuck Schumer. Here's the text of 7,800 word bill:

    Corporate Housing by Owner

    Both @ .com

I've not checked for your area but it's 2 of he sites we use as we travel all over the country doing temporary staffing.

  9. My order for PMAGS  AND Glock magazines shipped yesterday from Botach.

If I may ask, when did you order?

I have a backorder with them at this time.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

  10. Looks like they went to the LGS and looked at the rack and said that one looks evil, and that one and that one and that one......

According to a quote from her in an article I read, she said (I paraphrase) I have looked at the pictures of the assault weapons from 1994 and 2012 and have made a list of weapons that should be banned.

    BRILLIANT!   :screwy:

  11. If you intend to visit the one in Sevierville here is their website:

    http://wildbillsarmynavy.com/

    Phone number and address:

    865-366-5205, 1752 Winfield Dunn Parkway

I suggest calling first as I've driven by many times and they were not open including middle of the day and middle of the week. They don't list hours on their website that I could see and don't appear to keep regular hours.

  12. I'm hearing more and more about the assault rifle that killed the children. It was first announced by the police that a Glock and a Sig were used in the school and a Bushmaster AR15 was outside with the brother and not used. When did this change or did the media change it?

    The initial reports were wrong.

It turned out that there was a shotgun in the trunk of the car.

The brother was never outside. Never heard that one.

The coroner(s) reported that all of the children were shot/killed with the rifle.

He shot himself with one of the handguns.

  13. Just goes to show why it is a great thing there are choices. I HATE the silver/white circles on the Trijicon night sights. They are distracting and cause me problems gaining a sight picture. I love my Trijicon Reflex on my AR, but for a handgun, I will stick to my Tru-Glow Sights.

    Agreed.

You have to experiment and see what works for you.

I liked (as well as my wife) the Tru-Glo's on her Sig P238.

Just didn't work for me on the 1911.
