I used to swap out weapons often but since I got the Sig P938, it's all I carry either in a back pocket holster or OWB. It is barely larger than my Kimber Micro or the Sig P238.

Kimber Solo. Pricey but worth it.
I bought the Kimber Micro 380 and use it as a backup. It is smooth!

I was just about to "pull the trigger" and get a Glock 43 . . . . until I had a chance to look at and shoot the Sig P938 SAS. A lot more gun for just a little more money (IMHO)

Kimber Micro or Sig P238
-
My everyday carry was a Kimber Micro (ala Sig P238 - 380) but for a 1/4 longer barrel I switched to the Sig P938 9mm for more punch.
-
I have both the Sig P238 and the P938. I carry the latter and the wife carries the P238, it fits her hand nicely, fun to shoot and easy to operate.
-
Congrats to you and your selection. I was "inches" away from purchasing the 43 and the it happened . . . . . . I saw, held, shot the Sig P938! Its my new carry now!

Got mine today after looking at the Glock 43. This handgun was in a different league. Two 7 round mags, hard holster, Tritium night sites and a real pleasure to shoot! I'm pleased with it as I also have the Kimber Micro (basically a jazzed up P238) and my wife has the Sig P238.These are very nice carry weapons.

A person could easily shoot themselves pulling a loaded 43 out of their pocket, a pocket gun its not!

Conceal means just that, not carry conceal but wearing a sign that gives away your advantage.

The senseless murders at the school in Connecticut has created yet another clamor by the left to control guns. I fully expected this. My opinion is that the problem is not with guns but with the people who are using them to murder others. A person can kill others just as effectively with a katana as with a gun; should we control Japanese swords? The answer to this problem lies elsewhere. There is a real problem in this country and it has to do with our preoccupation with violence--in video games, in mixed-martial arts, in pro "wrestling", in political discourse (bring a gun to a knife fight), with unions that don't get their way and on and on (and on). Instead of condemning violence, we condemn guns; instead of condemning the person who committed the act of violence, we condemn the weapon; instead of taking an objective look at root causes for violence in this country, we blame an inanimate object. After 9/11, politicians jumped through their ass to create the "Patriot" Act (which is actually the "Last Refuge of Scoundrels Act"). We have lost a great many civil liberties in that "bargain" because many Americans prefer absolute safety to liberty and freedom. I am hoping that the same knee-jerk reaction does not occur this time around. Saner policy must be the outcome including profiling lunatics and getting THEM off the streets and into a padded room. I'm sick to death of the enactment of laws that aren't read by politicians and aren't given a full airing that punish the entire population because the government can't bring themselves to actually do something that will make a difference and address the core issue. The government should be more concerned with getting dangerous people off the streets while leaving law-abiding citizens to their own devices. Policies and laws that insist on making law-abiding people like me jump through hoops to purchase a weapon is NOT making anyone any safer and that is a pesky fact that is never addressed by those who simply don't like guns and don't want anyone else to have them (except, of course, for the criminals who will get them because they do not *care* about laws). Profiling is one of the answers and NOT the politically correct, one-size-fits-all policy of punishing everyone for the actions of a few hundredths of one percent of the population.
Sooner- I like your post! Its easy to blame guns and overlook the real issues. That's what the bleeding Liberals go for each and every time. By the way of all the mass kilings, there have only been a handful of perps that were under 21. Most borrowed or stole the guns used in the crimes and in this case according to news reports it appears that guns weren't the main culprit, the assault weapon was. Violent video games kids spend hours a day in front of, copycat ideas weirdos get from news sensationalism and violent music and movies should be banned too if we are going to go down this road.
Our government and poli-crookins never address problems directly, they like to apply MORE rules and regulations such as building a billion dollar border wall using tax payer money instead of removing all incentives for illegals to come here. Gun control is just another manipulative tool they try and use to achieve their agendas. I for one am not quite as worried about Feinstein as I am about Bloomberg!

If you're looking in the P290 price range, I highly recommend checking out the Kahr PM9 as well - I carry one when clothing dictates that my 229 can't be easily concealed. Very nice trigger for a small pistol, somewhat similar to the Glock trigger*, and maybe even a little smoother than the stock Glock trigger. It also has very manageable recoil compared to other small 9mm guns I've shot. With a Hogue Handall Jr. on it, it's a fun gun for the range.
*the reset is not as positive as a Glock, and the length of pull / reset distance is longerDITTO! The PM9 is a fine choice

Yeah, don't be a dick. Act like one and expect to be treated like one.
What's he big deal anyway? These guys face danger everyday and the job itself is a stressful one. He has no idea who you are until he runs a background. You just might be the only sane person he's seen today. Good grief, chill out.

I had a couple of PF-9's:
Good prices
Excellent Customer Service
Good starter or personal protection weapon
Hand hurting after 50 rounds at range
Trigger action, so-so
Not very accurate because of fit

Being robbed at gunpoint twice! As a former military veteran I knew I didn't have to put up with that. It's a bad world out there, we just choose to ignore it. I put my butt in gear and did "the right thing" and feel allot better for doing it!
For those of you that just did it or are thinking about it I say "do it!" but, get some additional training after you get the HCP. Remember, there is at least 1 lawyer attached to every bullet you fire!

I have the PM9 and cary it daily, The only 2 downsides for the PM40 (to me):
Less rounds
More kick

Ditto + + +
I've had two of them, first one in April 2010. Very versatile little gun especially for Lefty's like me.

From what I have seen, the morons working at Bass Pro have no business selling air fresheners, let alone firearms.

I can whole heartedly recommend the P238 with a couple of "buts" . . .
I prefer to carry more firepower if I'm dressed properly. Such as: Kahr PM9 or Kimber 45 Ultra Carry ll
When I'm dressed in cutoffs, shorts & T shirts etc. I'll stash the P238. Put some good Critical Defense ammo
in it and you've got decent firepower in a 380. The Glock 26 or 27 is a nice carry tool too. For you Lefty's out
there a Ruger SR9c is a nice choice as it has ambi safety and mag release and will eat pretty much any ammo
you feed it. I'm sure there are some favorite pocket 380's out there but I think the Sig P238 is the best for me.

Kahr CM9/PM9. Nuff said. The CM9 is probably the best shooting pocket 9 mm I've ever had. The PF9 is very harsh recoil wise.
++ What he said. My Kahr PM9 is ideal for size, power and quality.
.380 or 9mm pocket rocket

P238 and P938, I own both but for the insignificant increase in size, I find myself carrying the P338 all the time. It is a reliable powerful weapon and easily hidden.
