Yeah. I wouldn't even consider it if someone before me hadn't decided to sand the finish off of everything. Didn't even do a good job of it.

That's about as far as I've been able to get. The problem I'm having is, I need to take the breech plug apart and remove the safety lever. Nobody covers that.

I picked up a Savage 1907 that somebody sanded the finish off of. I'm looking to rust blue it but need to completely disassemble it to get an even finish. Does anybody know how to disassemble the breech plug and remove the safety lever so that I can get the best finish?

Wow. A lot of posts that I didn't get a notification for until now. I know Bud's. I've been there 3 times and left angry due to the service I received. Thanks for the CZ advice. I'll see what I can find.

Would prefer under $600. A D'S. This is something my step dad is looking for. His dad had one he loaned to a cousin before he died. So, he's wanting one to be like his dad's.

I'm trying to find a good 28 gauge side by side shotgun and was wondering if anybody knew of a good brand that wasn't too expensive.

I am on my phone, do you live anywhere near Franklin? I would like to see your set up if you don't mind.
Mine is a Giesen and Forsthoff. Had a factory edge on it more akin to a kitchen knife. 4 hours on a 1k Chosera to get the bevel set.
I'm about 30 minutes east of Knoxville.
There are some great razors in that $90 range. I was planning on getting a base model Dovo until the wife got me the Baxter. -
Wow, that's impressive that he has his ducks in a row like that. Couldn't resist that pun. It's sad, but I've spent more on hones than anything. Right now I'm breaking in a black Ark. It'll take a few hundred or even thousand passes with a chisel to get it right. Still, a darn good shave off it even from a $90 razor.

I won't be at the show. I'm working on the hydraulics on my Allis Chalmers and putting the finishing touches on my custom ceramic grill table.

Anybody of any GP11 in stock?

Thanks. These are kinda nice, so I don't want to run crap through them. Plus, the M48 is all milled and not stamped.

Ok, what would be a better brand that doesn't break the bank? I've heard Wolf is hit or miss.

Just wondering if anyone would know of a good place to get ammo for an M48 Mauser our K31 Swiss. Just picked up one of each. Everyone I've talked to says ammo for these are scarce. Also, what would be a good brand ammo?

I've been there. I thought about it but never figured he'd do that.

Ok, I'm going to give it a shot. Wish I could get the safety removed. Looks to be held in place by the spring but can't get it to come out.
