Looks like I will be there and shoot a little CDP. Man its been a while since I wore a vest. Expecting a few procedurals.

Although it looks that way it is not. They have a really nice finish but the bases are uncoated. The Bayou/BBI/SNS coated bullets are fully coated on all areas.

Nope. It did not. The CRO/ RO staff is pretty deep on the USPSA side and they feel confident the match TN Sectional can continue. MSSA plans on being back up on a limited basis over the next few weeks.

Sounds like a very fun match but unfortunately I wont be able to make it due to work. "Time to make the Bullets!"

[USPSA Match 13 & 14 July in Dickson]

Looks like I will be there on Sunday - back shooting production again to prepare for the nationals. I will be bringing you a case of 40-165 that you ordered along with primers that multiple people have ordered. It's amazing how fast they went but I just got another shipment of 48K.

[IDPA's new rule book]

1. No 40 major in CDP. This is just my hangup - as I don't like having to carry a barney mag and it just doesn't make logical sense to limit a division to a single caliber when all other divisions are not.

2. The center of the target is now the line for cover - leaves judgement up to the SO

3. All flat-footed reloads. If the cover extends from the floor and to infinity and is a 10 foot long wall why cant I move. I have to stay in a single position. If my foot moves slightly is that advancing the position -  Leaves more judgement to the SO

4. Holster and mag pouch rules that change based on  people of different sizes. 

 

All of the other stuff I is inconsequential and some decent improvements.

 

The Safety Officer is the life blood of the sport so any activity that makes their job a judgement call should be severely scrutinized. The enjoyment of the shooters largely depends on how the SOs "judge".

[IDPA's new rule book]

From my scan of the new rules it looks like I won't be re-certifying as an Safety Officer. I am just bummed that I bought a 3 yr membership in my last year's renewal and a new vest that will now go to waste. I wished they had listened to their customers. Very Disappointed!!!

Any Black Bullet International Moly Coated bullet (200gr SWC or RN, 230 RN) on top of Clays. Excellent accuracy & performance, low smoke, and very clean.

This is a match that I am glad I will never have to shoot again. Unless I decide to take a shot to the nads and pick up a revolver - not happening. Have fun. MCTS puts on a great match.

[IDPA Match 04/07/2012 - Music City Tactical Shooters]

Looks like an awesome match. I cant make this one as Battle in the Bluegrass III is the same day. Save those stages though - I might have to steal one!!
