I bet "Non-Smart Firearms" will command a premium in the underworld by the year 2030, or 2040, or 2050?

Just look at what the internal lock did to the S&W revolver value. If this “smart gun” technology takes hold the impact will be exponential.

  2. Hi there. Interested in purchasing a Smith and Wesson 317 (.22LR) revolver with a 3” barrel. Only interested in a prelock model. I’m located in middle Tennessee.

Please DM me with the details if you have one to sell. Thanks for your time.

Justify it all you want, guys. That was a trashy, despicable display.

To be clear I wasn’t justifying anything rather trying to add perspective. Cancel the season for all I care.

  4. Hello. I’m looking to buy a Smith & Wesson 686+ with a 2.5” barrel (and perhaps one with a 6” barrel). This is the seven-shot model. Note I’m only interested in prelock model which would be a -4 or -5.

Would also be interested in an 8 3/8”686-4 or -5 model.

I’m located in middle Tennesee. Please message me with the details if you have one to sell. Thanks for reading.

  5. Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional, have not researched this subject and did not stay in a Holiday Inn last night.

I have a question for those of you more informed on this topic than me. My understanding of the COVID vaccines is that they, like most, if not all other vaccines, do not prevent the vaccinated from catching COVID or from infecting others. Instead the COVID vaccine reduces the symptoms or severity of COVID for the vaccinated (which if true is obviously beneficial to the vaccinated).

Is my understanding consistent with currently available medical research? If my understanding is correct then the vaccines will not stop or slow the spread of COVID. If my understanding is not correct please clarify my misunderstanding. If my understanding is correct, what affect does a non-vaccinated person have to someone who has been vaccinated?  Are we back to the flatten the curve and not overrun our healthcare providers with COVID cases argument?  At some point that argument seems to extend to taking away spoons from overweight folks who could conceivably overrun our healthcare providers at some point as well (once again assuming the premise that the vaccine does not prevent the spread of COVID). I realize my understanding may well be incorrect hence my inquiry and request for clarification.

Full disclosure my 74 year old mother was fully vaccinated at my request. If it’s good enough for her it’s good enough for me. I’m just trying to understand another facet of “science” that has been politicized.

Thanks in advance for any learned input.

I have my own opinion about it but I wanted to ask you.

Why didnt the first lockdown work?  Why was that not successful?  Rather why after it did work did it then begin to not be enough to ultimately be successful?

Short answer in my opinion is inevitability. I believe there are two kinds of people. Those who’ve had COVID-19 and those who will get it.

  7. I currently use Wilson Consulting LLC (John Wilson) in Franklin. Single gun transfers are $30 (which includes the $10 TICS charge). Transfers from individuals are permitted. John is great to deal with. He works out of his home so timing is flexible, but you need to coordinate in advance. More info available here:  https://www.wilsonconsultingllc.net/index.html

I used to use Capitol View Pawn on Charlotte before it closed. They accepted transfers from individuals, but claimed legally as a pawn shop FFL they had to hold transfers from individuals for 21 days. I never confirmed whether this holding period was required by law. Hope this helps.

  8. I never seem to have a MidwayUSA coupon code when I need one. Looking for a free shipping or general discount coupon code, etc. Please share if you have one. I realize their business may be booming so coupon codes may not be available, but thought I’d check. Thanks in advance.

  9. Hello all. I’m interested in purchasing a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40mm silver scope or comparable Leupold scope, but it needs to have a silver finish. I believe the VX line has been discontinued. Anyone know of any retailers that might have discontinued VX line scopes or comparable Leupold silver scopes in stock? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
