  1. My name is Chad. I'm 24. I live in the White House area. I'm a photographer on the side. I didn't like knowing I have $5-6k worth of camera equipment and sometimes I walk around downtown with no protection so I made my first gun purchase last Sunday at the gun show which was this Rock Island Armory 1911 officer size. It started out with some nasty wood grain grips well not really grips more like slick pieces of wood. Needless to say I didn't like them and was planning on my purchase when I got home to my computer. I headed over to Spoolie's house to show him what I had bought and he had left the room with my gun and come back with these black pitted grips.(Big thanks to Spoolie). So within a hour of owning the gun the first mod had happened. Been to the range a few days already and put a 100 or so rounds through it.
