Picked this up this weekend too... it's a Mk I Martini Henry Carbine. Looking to find the parts to reassemble it. I need the fore grip, barrel bands, and rear sight. If I have to go reproduction, that's ok. I plan on getting this redone and checked out to see if it's still able to shoot. Ammo isn't cheap, but how often do you get to shoot one of these?

Try as I might, I cannot find anything on a SxS hammer shotgun that I picked up the other day. It's apparently a clone, or copy of the WW Greener as it has the same cross-bolt feature that Greener invented. Still, you'd think I wouldn't have the only one in existence. I don't have a full shot of this gun, but several close-ups that I hope I can successfully upload here. Anyone here heard of it? Only thing I can find is that Clyde made these and sold them to people at wholesale prices.
So... after trying to upload, my files are too large. I'll resize them tomorrow when I'm at my desktop computer at work. I was able to resize one... maybe I can do some others.

Royal Range... never as crowded as NA, and the everyone there is awesome. Always willing to help too.

My favorite 10/22 shown here with the Hogue stock and some random bi-pod from Amazon. It's a great shooter.
Besides this one I have another 10/22 that I've left bone stock just because I like it that way. Also have a Marlin Model 60 before the regs changed and they started making them shorter. It's the 18 round tube-fed one.

I expect you already know, but that is quite a desirable little kit gun. 2 or 4 inch barrel?
I didn't really know for sure until after I bought it. Wasn't looking to buy a gun at the time, but it walked into my office and I love j-frames... so....

Please forgive me...

It's heavy, ugly as sin, cheap, and has one awful trigger, but shoots remarkable well! I'm talking about my new Hi-Point 45! I kind of/sort of bought it as a joke and even ordered new grips for it with $100 bills on it from hipoint45.com just to make it that much uglier... but I am really impressed with it. My Mom, Son, and I have a family shooting night at least once a month so I took it out to Royal Range tonight to play with it. 7 Yards produced the following:

Since I've already got the 10/22 set up the way I like it... and can drill holes at 50 yards with it, I picked up the Remington 783 w/scope at Academy. Went with the .243 caliber. The scope that came with it was immediately discarded for an Athlon scope. I don't know who made the scope that came with the rifle but it was pretty bad.
I appreciate everyone responses.

I stand corrected! Ruger is available in .223

I've just completed putting together an old Ruger 10/22 (new stocks/scope/bi-pod) for shooting, but only zero'ed in for 50yds... which is what has me wanting a little larger. and yeah... a bolt action rifle.
Pouring through all the YouTube videos on the Savage Axis leaves me kind of wanting to avoid them. I'm pretty happy with the Ruger and leaning more toward it than anything. They just don't offer the American in .223, or at least I haven't found it.

Looking to purchase a rifle for 100 yard ranges. I'm not interested in hunting, so larger calibers aren't necessary... this is all for fun, anyway. Been looking at a couple of rifles that come in a few different calibers.
1. The Ruger American. It comes in .22 rimfire, .270, .243, and .308. Other than the .22 the ammo costs are close; about .75 to .80 per round.
2. The Remington M783. It comes in all of the above except .22... but does come in .223rem. .223 rem goes down to about .36 per round which is nice... and besides, I already shoot that caliber.
I'm confident in Ruger and know that if there is a problem, they'll make it right. The Remington however, I know very little about. I've read review after review on them and it seems that most people reviewing guns are usually doing so for the company, or something. I'm hoping that there are a couple of you guys here that have a little experience with either of these rifles that would like to share your input. Also, for range shooting... 50/75/100 yards, which caliber works best?
If, I sound totally off of my rocker, and there are better options... I'd love to hear about those too.
Thanks in advance...

Are those sling mounts already installed? I could one of those... nice!

Makes me think I need to reconsider if a 5 round revolver is enough, or if a 17 round Glock is too much. It seems as if she was trying to "empty the gun" not only to disable her attacker, but also so when the gun was forced from her hands, he couldn't use it to kill her or her daughter. I'm glad everyone was ok... except for the perp. I hope he spends a LONG time in lockup.

For me, the 1911 is pure Americana. I only feed mine 230gr. FMJ's since that's what John Browning designed it for. I also never carry the thing; it's a range gun only. If I want to carry a .45acp, then I have my Glock for that. Is that what they say? "Show you friends your 1911, and you're enemies your Glock."? The 1911 is just a classic.
The Beretta 92 is another classic. I don't have one yet, but there will come a day when I have one, merely because it's a classic too.

Royal Range... I'm sending my mother and daughter there. Been to several classes there myself. Great people.

The knob on top of that Matchdot that goes from 1 to 11 should turn your sites on. The higher the number, the brighter the site.
Good luck

They say they have an indoor range, but I'm thinking it's probably the old Gun City range. Can anyone confirm/deny this? We're suppose to be going there later today, but I refuse to shoot in the old Gun City range again.
