Welcome to TGO and enjoy it.

Welcome aboard and good luck with your back.

Welcome. Good move from the frozen North to the frozen South.

Best of luck to you and that's good advice about the cell phone.

I wouldn't even know his stupid name if it weren't for reading about his bad behavior at award shows.

Glad you're back. Sorry about the pain. Get well soon.

I agree with Dolomite. This man doesn't sound like he's very reasonable. She did good calling the law but I would call also to let them know you know about the incident.

Best of luck and prayers to you,

Another good one.

I like that glowdotGlock. I've got one just like it that I bought in 1992 at Service Merchandise. Still works as good as my newer handheld.

After watching the video the thing that gets me is how violently the victim was thrown to the floor. Speaking as a 63 year old with a pretty nasty back problem I don't think I would be able to get up from that. I'd probably be taking an ambulance ride to the ER.
As far as the taking of the gun I feel that I have a responsibility to not allow anyone to take my gun and possibly do harm to me or someone else. So to me it's a miracle that no one got shot.

I've got a Uniden handheld that picks up Murfreesboro PD, Rutherford county SO and fire and ambulance dispatch. Got it on line a few years ago for a little over $100. It comes with an AC adapter and if you use rechargeable "AA" batteries it will charge while it is plugged in. You can get the frequencies on line, just Google scanner frequencies or I can PM the frequencies to you.

Good luck and my prayers go out to you.

I own a Kubota and I can recommend the brand. Yanmar is tough too and usually a little better on the price. The BX series Kubota would have a low center of gravity and plenty of power. And a big plus for Kubota is that there is a forum, Orange Tractor Talk, where you can go to get good info on the brand.

Best of luck and praying for you.

Thank you all for the response. I'm looking at the health aspect because I'm going to have to have some back surgery in the near future. The dentist says if they look in my mouth they won't do the surgery till I get my dental problems fixed. And I have two teeth that are abscessed now.
Monkeyman2500, I have Delta Dental through Nissan as a retiree. The yearly max is $1500. The dentist said the dentures are what he always recommends, and that they are not the cheapest but they have very few problems with them. The cost of the dentures is $1938, with $2453 for the extractions. The price includes gas, I requested that because I don't want to sit there for hours and count the teeth as he pulls them.
Thanks again
Bill

OK, I'll spill my guts. My teeth are in bad shape. I went to a dentist yesterday and he told me it was time for dentures. Makes me feel old but at 63 I am old. I have 25 teeth left in my mouth, two broken off at the gum line that will take a little extra work. For the extractions and a good set of dentures he gave me a price of $4391.00 after Insurance pays it's maximum. Seems a little high to me. Just wondering if anyone here has any info on the going price either personally or from a family member. Thanks for any info.
