  1. I have a Sig P320 X-Compact RXP.  Gun has only had a couple hundred rounds through it.  It comes with Sig night sights, Romeo 1 Pro red dot with the shroud added.  An additional large grip module cerekoted blue, a blue gun for training, 4 holsters (including a raven concealment), the tungsten grip weights, a TLR-7a and a total of five factory magazines.  The gun is selling at Bud's for 979 new.  I am asking 850 for the whole package.  I am in South Knoxville and can meet in the surrounding area.  Thanks.

  2. Barely used.  Comes with the hardware on it including the Romeo 5.  Has had about 15 rounds through it.  Was sighted in by one of our armored in the department.  Asking $800.  Available in the Knoxville area to meet.

  3. I am on the fence with pistol red dots.  I currently have two and my G19 MOS has a RMR on it.  After years of shooting irons they started showing up in the department I work in and I gave it a shot (pun intended).  I am just now getting faster with the dot, specifically with follow up shots and I am slightly faster with first shots over 12-15 yards.  Hackathorn on the Wilson Combat YouTube channel made a video that I can't deny has some good points.  Here's the link;

    That said, I am still on the fence and am working with the 19 to see if it is worth it.  But I certainly don't carry my helical with irons and worry about it doing the job.

  4. Had a heart attack 18 months ago.  95% blockage of the widowmaker at 48 years old.  If I hadn't driven myself to the ER they say I wouldn't have made it.  I knew that Jesus had laid claim to my very soul and had a peace while they were trying to keep me alive and put a stint in.  Will be praying for you, Pop Pop and DJTC45 and thanks for the reminder what this season is really about.  We fight the good fight, but thankfully we already know who has won.

  5. Most have already brought up good fundamentals like reliability, capacity and caliber.  I wish that someone would make a hammer fired, de-cocking gun that has the modular frames and fire control unit like the P365 and P320 series.  I know that hammer fired guns can have a FCU.  My Beretta Pico uses one but it is a DAO with no safety.

    It would make a mess for magazine compatibility but you could even have the same FCU do single and double stack magazines.  With the stack and a half magazine configurations you could have a slim single stack config and a double stack option too.

    It would allow me to pick long slide, short grip setups, or swap from a larger frame at home to a more suitable carry size when I took the family on vacation.  Heck, I would even settle for a hammer fired with a manual safety if they made it.  Oh, and since it is a wish list, I would want metal and polymer frame options.

  6. I've seen the threads concerning Glock grip angle vs. 1911 and threads on striker fired vs. hammer fired.  Then there is the manual safety debate or DA/SA, DAO, and SA debates as well.  So, I have a different question.  What if you like them all?  Is it a bad thing to carry a Glock for years and then occasionally carry a 1911?  Will the manual saftey and grip angle doom your presentation in a panic?  I mentioned in another thread that for years I have shifted my holster according to the gun and how crucial concealment was depending on where I was anywhere from 3 o'clock to 5:30.  Sometimes I like carrying a full sized Beretta 92 at 5:30 and sometimes I have the little Hellcat with a flush magazine right on my hip.  I have often wondered if I am running the risk of a fumbled attempt to defend myself by being such a junkie for wanting to buy, shoot, train with and eventually carry all sorts of guns.  I didn't even mention that one of my main carry guns (right now) has an RMR and the other two are different types of iron sights.  Any thoughts?

  7. I've lived in Knoxville all my life.  Been to more local gun shows than I can count (Come See Kevin Costner's Guns!!).  Enjoy shooting, considered getting into reloading and figured I would find a sight to chat it up with folks that like the same stuff.  I've looked around for a while and figured I would make it official.

  8. I own a Hellcat and have been carrying it for a while.  Probably have put somewhere around 1500 rounds through it without any issues.  I considered the Pro when I bought it.  The Pro has a slightly longer barrel but I prefer the standard.  I can throw a 15-round magazine in it and have the same capacity as the Pro or put the flush magazine in it and pocket carry with ease.  I own a 43x with Shield Arms mags and had a P365 that I sold after some poor customer service with Sig.  I think that the Hellcat and the P365 were neck and neck with slight feature differences.  The 43x isn't bad but it's note got that short mag/large mag option depending on where and how I am carrying it.

  9. I prefer the look, feel and shooting of hammer fired pistols.  But new hammer guns are rare and the world is moving to striker and polymer pistols for several reasons.  I enjoy shooting and buying new guns too much to stay with hammer only weapons.  My favorite configuration of a da/sa, de-cocking, metal frame pistol feels like it is slowly becoming extinct.

  10. I've always loved the Beretta 92.  I prefer de-cocking setups but don't mind if it is a de-cocking safety.  I recently got a 92x with the vertec grip and I have to say I really like it maybe even more than the traditional humped 92 grip.

  11. I used to carry IWB in various positions, but I have found that I can usually find a compact, tight to the body OWB holster that will work for most weapons with an an untucked shirt.  The larger the gun, the more I shift the holster back on my hip to 4 or 5 o'clock.  If it is something like a micro 9mm then I stay pretty close to 3 or 3:30.
