I was also a tire kicker car buyer. My Dad taught me how/ what/ where to look for a deal but dealerships now a days are even more of a pain in the a**. We went to 5 different dealerships and explained what we were looking for, and without an exception, every salesman tried to steer us to the most expensive vehicle that we did not want. They didn't listen so we walked. My wife found the make/model/year she wanted and we took a test drive at a dealership in Morristown to confirm her decision then bought a much better one from Carvana. No hassles in the financing, no pressure to buy things we didn't need, not pressure at all. I'm not trying to convince anyone to buy from Carvana, just relaying our experience with them. The way we were treated at all 5 different dealerships has reinforced my never going back to them except to test drive a vehicle model I am looking at online. I bought my first car in 1980 and I remember the experience fondly. Your mileage may vary in dealing with the car lots and I wish you good luck.

Go to Carvana.com Customize what you are looking for and NO salesman to irritate you. They even deliver to your driveway. We bought a Rogue that way and will most likely do so again when my truck gets retired. Just my .02

Jefferson County still has open spaces, for the moment, just depends on what you're looking for.

I remember spending lots and lots of Lincolns, Roosevelts, Jeffersons, Washingtons at the Ben Franklin. I had the largest, well equipped little green army in my neighborhood. Even had a balsa wood air force. Good times!

I had 2 strong willed, bone headed German Shepherds when I tried the invisible fence. They would push through the tone then the shock and keep on truckin.... I had to get a 6 foot fence installed from Lowe's. It was pricey but it worked. Anytime they dug around it I filled the hole with moth balls and the problem gradually ceased. From the initial visit to completion was 10 days.

Lee is an upstanding guy. I've had the pleasure of buying some of his wares fresh off the truck and am highly satisfied. The hardest part of buying from Lee is tracking him down as he is always on the go.

OW!!!!!!!!! Those of us who have survived over 6 decades know how you feel. I hate going under the knife and hate when they add stuff not in the original design. I hope you have a speedy and complete recovery but cold weather is really going to suck now. OW!!!!!!!!

Guys, thanks so much for all the well wishes. I'm not one to throw in the towel, when problems arise. Will be doing cardiac rehab. My middle name has been changed to : appointments.
Remember to treat the nurses well. They know where to stick things and if you "misbehave" you might wind up with Helga from the House of Pain. Don't ask me how I know......
