  1. I have a Barska Red Dot now on my Ruger Mark II. It does well except in bright sunlight. The dot washes out in certain conditions. Any suggestions as to a better solution without breaking the bank? I am considering an Ultradot 25 but am open. I thought a tube type dot might not be as problematic as the holographic. I am new at this so I am very confused.:screwy:

  2. I have had PM9, MK9, LCP, P3AT and Sig P238. All are fine guns but I now have the PF9 from Kel-Tec and must say I really like it. It is accurate, has a good trigger pull, is easily concealed, shoots 9mm ammo and is half the price of the PM9. It bites when you shoot it like a PM9 so it is not a shoot all day at the range gun. I have yet to have a problem with mine. The Sig 239 is not in the same class, it is larger but is fun to shoot and very accurate. It all depends on your needs. I got sick of looking for .380 ammo.

  3. Had an EMP. It was a great gun but I felt I needed something larger. I ended up buying the Para 18-9. I put 500 rounds through it to break it in but ended up sending it back to Para for work. It just wouldn't feed. It is extremely accurate and feels good in my hands but I experienced 20% failure rate after break-in. Hopefully Para will get it to run for me.

  4. I am in the market for a 9mm on the 1911 platform. I am looking at a Springfield, a Kimber pro carry and a para PX189s. Anyone have experience with these? I am really looking at the Para because of the high capacity mags. Would like your input.

  5. I'm not really into 40 cal. I like 9mm. I do have the LCP .380. This is a nice little pocket pistol but 2 mags is about all I want to shoot at one time. It takes a little while for the feeling to come back to my hand after that.:koolaid:

  6. Well I bought a new Para Carry 9 from my local "pusher". It is a nice shooting pistol. I put 70 rounds through it yesterday. From 20 feet there was no "x" ring left on the target, just about a 2" hole. Very accurate. Excellent trigger (DAO). Very smooth and crisp. It doesn't reset as quickly as a single actiion but isn't bad and stages very well. Some FTF and FTE but not a lot for the first time out. The only problem that may cause me to sell it is the grips are too small for these hams at the end of my arms. It is very difficult for me to grip. I have looked on the internet for replacement grips from Hogue but they don't list the gun. Without larger grips, the gun will not be not make for a daily carry. I still will use the KAHR K9 which is one very fine gun.
