  1. Your galco holster will probably be fine. You may/will be running from point to point with a loaded pistol in your holster so you do NOT want the gun falling out. A positive retention, ie thumb snap or locking doodad is not a necessity in the holster. Most IWB holsters are adequate for good retention of your pistol. OWB's can be fine too. Put your unloaded pistol in the holster, holding just the holster, turn it upside down. If the pistol doesnt fall out your good to go.

  2. Just to throw in $.02. Most single riders are courteous and dont present a problem to motorists. It's the pack of 3-20 Tour De France wannabes that seem to be the problem. I live in a rural area. When weathers decent I see two to five riders a week at most on the road. These guys move over to the shoulder and cause no trouble. Now come the weekend, forget about it, the packs are out and they do in fact take up the whole lane because they wanna chat with their buddies. I'm sorry hikers know single file on roadways, how come bikers cant do same?

  3. Can the facebook plugin be disabled on an individual basis? Reason I ask is because I get a slow initial page load when going into a topic. If I look down in the notification/activity bar I see the waiting for facebook.com/plugin more often than not. I'm using IE8 on windows 7. I dont have the facebook connection on in my profile and I did look through all the settings but may be I missed something?

  4. I know some of you Sevier County guys dont like to drive all the way out to ORSA on saturdays for the various shoots. So I drive out for the first Saturday for IDPA and 3rd sunday for 3gun. If you want to meet in seymour and carpool shoot me a pm.

  5. You can get em in pink too! My wife picked one up when we were down there. Seriously it's worth the drive if you like 1911's and good folks to deal with. Make it a journey , hit gun shops along the way to stretch out your "bang for the buck"!

  6. If they were out on lend/lease, they theoretically could end up back at CMP Which would make CMP very happy and a lot of shooters very happy, If they came back in the regular retail channel can you imagine the prices in this makret? So the question comes down to were they "sold" to SK or just on lend/lease? My guess it's a mix. And this is not in any way to disrespect CMP, but if you were the CEO over there and had a chance to score a 100K rifles wouldn't you get involved?

  7. Gunny's had a change in management but the actual ownership remains as it was when opened. They dont quite get how to be gun guys in the gun business. They're just trying to run it as any other business. It doesnt work so good. They could be a heck of a lot more successful like TCGD, Hero Gear, Predator Custom, if they looked around and tried. I honestly think they're trying to squeeze every penny out of it so they can get out of it without too much loss. They jumped into the business because it sounded like fun and did not treat it like a business from the start. I see this happening in gun shops everywhere I've been to. They'll be gone before too long. Customers are what keeps the doors open and the dollars rolling in.
