  1. Registration is closed but they're taking names for a wait list.  You can email Byrl at rosebude@comcast.net to get put on the wait list.
  2. I'll put a bump in for prone shooters in knoxville.  He's got a nice selection of rifle and pistol powders. Prices were very reasonable when  you consider no hazmat or shipping.  Spent a good hour in there with Phil the owner talking about stuff.  He also has parts and accessories too at reasonable prices.
  3. It's a model 15. Price isnt bad, but I'd see if any other barrels and shrouds come with it. If not the price is high.
  4. ORSA action pistol range has something every Saturday. First Saturday is IDPA, second Cowboy Action (SASS), third Saturday IPSC, third sunday 3gun, and 4th saturday steel challenge. Pretty much all start at 10am.
  5. Go and watch any of the Action events at ORSA. There is something every saturday and 3 gun on the third sunday. Spectators are always welcome. Every one of the events welcomes new comers. Run what you brung!
  6. CB's for shorthaul communications or SSB radios for a little further out. There's still a lot of noise out there. Sevier county folks interested pm me if you're close and interested. Safety in numbers, plus pooled skills.
  7. Check out loadmastervideos.com for setup and troubleshooting tips. I load pistol on my loadmaster and little trouble with it. Even with the priming system.
  8. Your galco holster will probably be fine. You may/will be running from point to point with a loaded pistol in your holster so you do NOT want the gun falling out. A positive retention, ie thumb snap or locking doodad is not a necessity in the holster. Most IWB holsters are adequate for good retention of your pistol. OWB's can be fine too. Put your unloaded pistol in the holster, holding just the holster, turn it upside down. If the pistol doesnt fall out your good to go.
  9. I beleive it's the same shotgun basically as the winchester 1300 action wise. I've got a 1300 with a barrel of the FN on it and it was a direct replacement...
  10. That's the John Sevier Range, TWRA owned and operated off rifle range rd. You can go up there any time of day pretty much. Have not been in a long while but it used to be an hourly type fee if I remember correctly. You can also try the norris PD range. Stop in the police department in norris for info and fees.
  11. Just to throw in $.02. Most single riders are courteous and dont present a problem to motorists. It's the pack of 3-20 Tour De France wannabes that seem to be the problem. I live in a rural area. When weathers decent I see two to five riders a week at most on the road. These guys move over to the shoulder and cause no trouble. Now come the weekend, forget about it, the packs are out and they do in fact take up the whole lane because they wanna chat with their buddies. I'm sorry hikers know single file on roadways, how come bikers cant do same?
  12. 3-4 here at the foothills of the smokies. Still coming down. Roads covered. But then again I'm rural so no surprise there.
  13. I agree. It's definitely quicker to load individual topics. Thanks David!
