OK, I ordered one based solely on your recommendation and it's due in a day or so. At least I'll be able to carry it.
I've seen addresses for Urban Carry in Sanford, FL and Monterey, TN and the holster is shipping from McDonough, GA. Wonder who they are and where, really. TN would be great!

Three days after I got mine.

Well, Uncle Sugar bought me a DWX Compact (covid check)! I ordered a nice holster from Tucker and found out today it will take 3 months to get it!
What do you think of that Urban Carry?

There's a lot to like about that little pistol. How close is it to a Colt Gov't .380? Are good mags available?
-
Thanks for checking! I suspected it wouldn't. There's a guy on this forum, around Nashville, that does custom leather. Maybe I can get him to make one. The waiting time for most custom leather is too long.

Maybe my Valkyrie holster will work. The dust cover looks thicker. Have you tried any 1911 holsters?
-
Yours looks in better shape than mine! Looks like a fair price, somebody jump on this!

I'll take it.

Has anyone seen a DWX for sale? Especially a Compact? Are they vaporware?
-
Will 7-round Colt Gov't .380 mags work in a 1908 Pocket Hammerless pistol? The 1908 mags are tough to find anymore. I have plenty of Gov't mags.

I have a nice house in a nice town that just happens to be next door to Memphis. I like it here!
Now they're bringing their crap to me.
Memphis turned really y after I left and Willie Herenton took over. I'd be looking at a place like Grand Junction and hope that's far enough that Memphis doesn't get there before you die.

What is the latest situation on pistol braces? I think I've seen the Supremes are gonna hear the cade, but, currently, are they "legal". In quotes because the gov't decides what's legal and can change it like their diapers.

If you have a TN ID and own property here, you're a TN resident. Don't tell everybody you like S&M.
OTOH, a private sale is a private sale and requires no gov't involvement.

I saw an article yesterday saying that the Israeli office that issues gun permits will be going into overdrive. The goal is to get as many Israelis armed as quickly as possible.
Kinda late for that, isn't it?

I'll toss in the Beretta Serie 80 .380s. I have an 84BB and an 85BB. The 84 is a double stack and fits my hand so I shoot it better. BBs have a safety. Later models have a decocker. Ala Burger King, have it your way. Light Al frames make them easy to carry. Midsize so they conceal well. Too big for a pocket (XSP for that), though.

The alloy compact models are de-cockers. I'm frustrated by this myself. Had a P-07 but it isnt the same.
I bought a Dan Wesson ECP, alloy framed 1911. Has a safety and is less cash than the DWX.
I have a Valkyrie in .45. Wonderful pistol. Hard to miss with it. I would like a double stack 9 that's small-ish and light to avoid carrying a second mag. And I very much want to stay with cocked and locked so I don't have to think "which one do I have?"
-
Anybody know if the DWX is more than vaporware?
I'm about to give up. Is there an aluminum frame CZ 9mm without a decocker safety? It will surely save me money.
-
LOL! I want one, too!!!

I have as gun magnet in my RV, near the head of the bed to hold my Colt at night.

You first.

Also, the bore is low, so muzzle flip is visibly less, even with a girl shooting it.

The patina is great, even the faux patina on the trigger guard, if I'd earned it.
Still has a Glock trigger and no safety.
Wanted to reward Glock's innovation, but gave up after the second one. Bulging cases from my 22 did not instill confidence, either.

I bought one and had to send it back. After I got it back, it has been excellent. I'd like another one.
It IS a PITA to disassemble/reassemble to clean.

What brand and where to buy 1911 mags?

I am partial to MecGar. Always reliable and notably smoother operation than any others I've handled.
