  1. Ok...I thought of norris, and he mentioned the one on rifle range but I'd never been there. So I didn't know if would work, but I assumed norris would. Was hoping to have something on the west side. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
  2. "Beware the man who only has one gun. He probably knows how to use it!" springs to mind. I can hit a pie plate with some impressive regularity at 50 yards with my favorite handgun so it certainly wouldn't surprise me if someone could double that with some additional practice.

Nah, his wife doesn't like guns and doesn't know he has it...he does not practice.

  3. Ok, where I normally shoot is a no go on this one. Long story short, coworker stated he could hit a head target at 100 yards with his 9mm. He isn't a big gun guy, but does have a 9mm. Anyway, I told him I'd give him 2 shots for my $100. 4 other people put their money on it too. Where can we make this happen so I can collect my money?!

  4. This is the knife I had made for my son. The orange and black are his school colors and Grand Torino came up with the combo to accomodate my request. This thing it top notch. If the soon to be graduate appreciates this knife half as much as I do he will treasure it forever! As i told GT, my younger son saw the knife and immediately wanted one. I told him he had to wait 2 years till he graduates. Thanks again GT!

  5. I got them a couple of years ago. I had went in and got glasses. I went back a couple of weeks later and got fittednfor contacts. I just could not get used to glasses and having to look straight through them and having to move my head to see things in my peripheral. The first year I had the kind you take out every day. This year I got the ones you can leave in for weeks at a time. They work out a lot better for weekend trips since I don't have to take all the crap along to take care of them. My sight isn't bad, but a little bit of correction makes a huge difference in my tiredness and headaches. And I can read the scores on the tv clearly now!

  6. My guess being in the door and hardware biz...they tried to use the tie around the thumb latch on the pull handle to keep it unlatched while they went to work on the deadbolt above...don't know why they would have disturbed the wood on that part of the latch...I would assume you can't lock that part...seems like they didn't know what they were doing...
  7. Anybody ever hear of these people? Was in the lgs just now and the had 22mag little revolvers that looked like naa clones. Thought if they were any good it would be neat to pick one up since they are apparently made in russellville, tn.

  8. Not necessarily, I didn't paste entire thing:

"Every motor vehicle having a windshield shall be equipped with two (2) windshield wipers for cleaning rain, snow or other moisture from the windshield in order to provide clear vision for the driver, unless one (1) windshield wiper cleans to within one inch (1'') of each side of windshield."

Ok, good...I will go ahead with that McLaren purchase I had planned in that case...

  9. Seems true enough, a search for windshield in TCA only reveals:

"55-9-203. Windshield must be equipped with wipers -- Penalty.
    (a) Every motor vehicle having a windshield shall be equipped with two (2) windshield wipers ...."

    - OS

So you are screwed if you have a car with 1 large wiper from the factory?

  10. It just so happens I am needing a draftsman in the knoxville area. And using a TGO member would be even better. We have considered doing like the OP and buying a set online but we have more than just a change or two.

TerryW, I will delete this if you consider it a hijack. Dont want to step on toes. :)

let me know what you need...I can probably help.I do it as a hobby now. Did it for years professionally...
  11. The high school I graduated from, which is the same one my boys play football for now, was threatened by the same idiots...guess what. We attended the game tonight as we always do, and the cheerleaders led the prayer pre game. Let them make their empty threats. When they see you won't back down they will move to their next target hoping for better results! Strong communities always prevail over the ones that try to tear them down!
  12. Ok, forgive me if this is sme common knowledge...this is the first revolver I have ever owned. Anyway, been wanting a j-frame for quite some time and decided to stop in the new buds tennessee location today. They had a 642 on the wall and decided I would go for it. They went in the back and brought one out, but they said when they scanned it in the back that it showed $10 cheaper than the display...I said even better! They looked at it closer and it was a pre-lock 642. I couldn't believe the news was even better! I even asked if they had anymore, they didn't, but they offered to buy the one in my hand! Got to the car and checked the spent shell and it was dated 4-29-14. I thought all new j frames had the locks, did I just get real lucky or is this common? Btw, put about 50 rounds down range with it on the way home...sweet pistol! Otnman
