This was from another board's conversation on this subject. This is what they could be up to.“On that score, I think we need to enforce the laws we have right now,” Pelosi said at her weekly news conference. “I think it's clear the Bush administration didn’t do that.”That translates to "The BATFE has eased up on their persecution of trivial offenses and over-ambitious enforcement of the '68 GCA, and we can't have that, can we?" They are already talking about how they are not "enforcing" the ban on "imported assault weapons" because they are letting in parts kits and allowing manufacturer's to assemble them as American made under 922r.See, "enforcing the laws we already have" means different things to different people. When the NRA says it, it means "Use a gun in a crime, go to jail". When Pelosi says it, it means "use every legal means to interfere with gun owners."

What set back from the rifling do you load to? I seated a couple bullets against the rifling and they came out 3.38 so I backed off to 3.35. I've heard .02 to .03 is common for match loads.
Not at home right now but if I remember correctly my COAL is 3.360 for the 200gn SMK's which is .02 off what the manual called for.

I run my Rem 700 in 30-06 out to 1000 yards. I use a 200 gr HPBT Sierra Match King with 53.3 gr of H4350 and Lake City brass. I was using Remington primers but I am going to switch to CCI. Talking with some other reloaders the CCI's perform better. I am in the process of working up a load for the 175gr SMK's as well.

Legislators in Tennessee submitted House Joint Resolution 108 (HJR0108) on February 18th. While it’s non-binding, some of the language is quite well put. Here’s the intro:
A RESOLUTION to affirm Tennessee’s sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and to demand the federal government halt its practice of assuming powers and of imposing mandates upon the states for purposes not enumerated by the Constitution of the United States.

Although Fox News and CNN are not telling you about it, a growing number of states are declaring sovereignty. Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, California, and Georgia have all introduced bills and resolutions declaring sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment. Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering such measures.
For details on the particular bills and resolutions introduced by the above states, check out the following:

I'll start by recommending that a new reloader buy a book called the "ABC's of Modern Reloading".
I second this book. It is a must have for new reloaders.
-
I started a long time ago with a Lee Classic Turret and it is still chugging right along. No problems at all.
-
Welcome... can't wait til I can say I am from the area too.

I learned with this one. ABC's of Reloading. Then add Hornady Reloading Handbook and you should be set to start out.

(*Not that I am against Buttless chaps... it does make a statement. It's just awfully cold for buttless chaps.)
Hmmm last time I checked ALL "chaps" were buttless. If they weren't they would be pants.
chaps
–noun (used with a plural verb) a pair of joined leather leggings, often widely flared, worn over trousers, esp. by cowboys, as protection against burs, rope burns, etc., while on horseback.
pl.n. Heavy leather trousers without a seat, worn over ordinary trousers by ranch hands to protect their legs.

I haven't had any problems with my Delta Elite. I would like to have one of the new ones so I have a set.

Hmmm maybe he is under the impression that the "criminal element" actually obeys the law and acquires an HCP.

I have a Sauer 200 and a Remington 700, both in 30-06. The Sauer has open sights and the Rem has a scope. Both great rifles.
