  2. “On that score, I think we need to enforce the laws we have right now,” Pelosi said at her weekly news conference. “I think it's clear the Bush administration didn’t do that.”
This was from another board's conversation on this subject. This is what they could be up to.
That translates to "The BATFE has eased up on their persecution of trivial offenses and over-ambitious enforcement of the '68 GCA, and we can't have that, can we?" They are already talking about how they are not "enforcing" the ban on "imported assault weapons" because they are letting in parts kits and allowing manufacturer's to assemble them as American made under 922r.

See, "enforcing the laws we already have" means different things to different people. When the NRA says it, it means "Use a gun in a crime, go to jail". When Pelosi says it, it means "use every legal means to interfere with gun owners."

  3. Legislators in Tennessee submitted House Joint Resolution 108 (HJR0108) on February 18th. While it’s non-binding, some of the language is quite well put. Here’s the intro:

A RESOLUTION to affirm Tennessee’s sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and to demand the federal government halt its practice of assuming powers and of imposing mandates upon the states for purposes not enumerated by the Constitution of the United States.

  4. Although Fox News and CNN are not telling you about it, a growing number of states are declaring sovereignty. Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, California, and Georgia have all introduced bills and resolutions declaring sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment. Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering such measures.

For details on the particular bills and resolutions introduced by the above states, check out the following:

Hmmm last time I checked ALL "chaps" were buttless. If they weren't they would be pants. :D
