Well I built me a 300. Now it's time to work some loads up. I'm starting with 110 vmax with H110 powder primary goal is to hog and deer hunt under 200 yards with this rifle. Dose anyone else have any recommendations in combo of bullet and powder for this round for hunting purpose? Has anyone tried the load out that I am using? If so how did it work out for you?

I purchased parts kit http://daytonatactical.com/products/16-300-aac-blackout-complete-rifle-kit-no-lower it was pretty cheap. That's why I wanted to get it checked out.

My parts should be in this week for my 300 blackout build. Does anyone around nashville have a set of go or no go gauges? Or know a gunsmith in the area that could checked it out for me?

im looking for compin
Far too broad a request. If you can tell us what you want in a muzzle device, then I'm sure you will get a multitude of recommendations.
updated original post.

I'm looking for input on some good Compensator. Does anyone have experience or input on certain types and model also would like to find one that is budget friendy. I'm looking for a 30 cal comp for 300 blackout also looking for something to fit 223. want something that will minimize muzzle blast and reduce recoil for follow up shots.

Well i took some 180 grit sandpaper placed it on a flat sanding block sanded the front of the mag. While micing it you want to try to get it down to 1.300 in. after you get it close them mag will start coming out freely. i believe the condition was cause by the stippling, because i could squeeze and lock the mag up before. This has resolved the issue for now. also pay attention to the part above the mag catch. because on one of my mags it was at about 1.312. Which was the thickest part out of both mags.

Understand completely I was with you before I seen this one. It already had everything done that I was going to do and also looks like it has been professionally done.Watching this a hopefully learning something from it. As I've never had a problem with any of my Glocks or the Clock factory magazines; I am interested in the outcome of his problems and what needs to be done to resolve them.
I mean absolutely no disrespect to the OP, ballz71, or the guys who do some of the more extensive mods to Glocks or any other gun.
But I do not buy anything that has been modified beyond factory work. With my skill levels, or lack of them, it's just better for me.
It lays open a mess of problems that might or might not ever crop up, be them legal if in a shoot, or warranty issues. Perhaps I'm being overly paranoid, but that's just me.

These are Gen 4 mags and Gen 4 gun

Well I Measured the thickness of the mag from front to back found the two that are giving me problem are thicker by about 5 thousands. I'm going to sand them down gently and see if this resolves the issue.

I got looking at the mags and found this the two that are tight have small circles on three left hand side of the mag and the one that drop free is on the right I wonder what the difference is I can't see anything else that is different

Ok i got messing with it i got 6 mags one fall free all the time 2 catch some time and 2 i have to pull out so idk. let says they did overheat the frame while stippling it. is there anyway to correct this maybe one of them little plugs that goes in the back strap or something?
-
Depending on how much modification/stippling was done, the magwell may be deformed. It wouldnt take much grinding, melting of polymer to bend it slightly out of spec or to weaken the polymer to the point that the pressure from your grip in conjunction with trying to release the mag causes it to hang. My suggestion is to strip the mag release completely out, take the top end off, and try inserting mags and see if the hang up when let go, if there is nothing holding them they should fall out as soon as you move your hand, however if there is any lag time, then the magwell is out of spec.
i did this with the mag release out and top off mags fell out freely.

The plastic mag release is a chronic problem in the Glock pistols and frequently the simplest and best feasible solution is simply replacing it. Should the problem not be mechanical then you need to think about readjusting your hand grip while shooting as this is another rather common problem, especially so with extended mag releases.
That is what i was thinking and i can get the mag to jam by squeezing the grip and trying to release at the same time. i can also hold the gun with my other hand softly and depress the mag release and mag will still not fall out while the slide is locked back. Is there any recommended brand of mag release or mag release spring that i should look for?
-
had a spare release setting around i replaced it still happened. wouldn't the spring only effect it during engagement not disengagement?

I recently bought a used glock 34 that had some modification done to it. warren tactical sights, under cut trigger guard , flatten front strap and stipple job, Along with some trigger work. Im having some issues with the mags falling free when the slide is lock back after firing the last shot. I have tried both holding the gun vertically and releasing the mag and also doing it canted as if i was going to do a normal reload. In ether instant the mag does not fall free. i have taken the side off that gun and inserted an empty mag it will fall free most of the time but not all of it. i have removed the mag release and smoothed it down a little because there was a burr on it. This did not help the issue. i can not see anything that is rubbing. Any on ran into this?

I started a poll just to get some input from everyone.

If used for hunting it would be mainly hogs, deer and steel targets lol. Long range capability is not a requirement and nether is going suppressed. I was just throwing out some pro to the two calibers. I'm really wanting some pros and cons to the calibers and set ups . Which you all have made some interesting points so far.

If I went with a 300 I would probably buy some once fired casing to get started.

It's that time to build or buy another ar. I've narrowed it down to these two cailbers. I need some help desiding. The 308 would be more of a investment I believe to get started into but it will give me more of long range capability. 300 will give me the versility of shoting subsonic if i chose to go suppress later on. I will also be reloading for which ever I chose. I would like some input from you guys. Also another thing is possible using them for hunting if anyone has expenience with 300 blk hunting plz chime in. Also if anyone has suggest one pre built rifle suggestion are welcome.
