Did you have to pre order it and if so, what was the wait time? Currently only available from Sportsmans Outdoor on that basis. Thanks.
Sorry. Just now saw this. I pre-ordered it and randomly got a notice saying it was shipped one day.

The trigger on my new Ft Smith PPK/S is amazing. Everyone who has tried it has been impressed.
This gun is excellent.

For a company that makes beautiful handguns, that is one of the ugliest guns I have ever seen.

I cringed so hard. Wishing Rand had gotten into office now..

Daaaaamnnnnnn. That is nice.

I was digging through my backpack and I realized that they completely missed my 5 inch tanto blade from Cold Steel!!!!! What a joke!!!

Btw, while the cops and TSA were distracted by me and my novelty set of brass knuckles, the girl I was flying with got her stun gun through TSA without a hitch in her purse.

The use of trained performance animals far predate any of the circuses most of us are aware of and in fact predate the Roman Empire.
Yep, I know. Still don't like it.

I might be in the minority, but I hate the circus. I think it's a fairly arrogant thing for humans to think it's ok to use animals solely for entertainment. I think that there was a time when we weren't the most important species on earth, and that time will inevitably come again.

A friend gave me a gag gift he got from a gun show for my birthday in November. A pair of American Flag "brass" knuckles.
I took them and threw them in my bag to put away when I got home... Except I must've forgotten and didn't. Fast forward to today.. I'm flying to California and was telling the artist I'm working for about how I always get that feeling I'm leaving something dangerous in my bag like a knife. Then, the TSA agent says, "Yep. You did." I figured it was a folding knife or something, but then I saw it outlined very clearly in the scan. Freakin' knuckles. My heart sank immediately because I know how much of a headache this could turn into...
I said to the man, "Dude, obviously I wouldn't intentionally try and bring that on the plane. I would be an idiot to think that would work."
They brought two cops armed with AR-15s(which I thought was awesome) to talk to me. They took my ID and checked me out and then asked if I wanted to surrender it, which of course I was cool with.
It was my fault. I was in a hurry and checked every pocket for routine stuff like spare mags and loose rounds.. EXCEPT the interior pocket that I put the knuckles in.
I was wearing my TRUMP Rambo inspired tshirt and the TSA agent told the cops to tell me that the only reason I was free to go was because of my Trump shirt. LOL
Anybody else do anything similarly stupid?
btw, I've been more lurking lately. I just bought a motorcycle and have been preoccupied with that. Haha

Have you ever shot a 92/96 series with a factory "D" model hammer spring installed? A quick $5 drop-in mod that will instantly lower your DA trigger by around 4 lbs, dropping it from the 10-11 lb range down to around 7 lbs while keeping the pistol 100% reliable. Of course they make "D" springs for the Cougar series as well, giving them about a 2-3 lb pull weight reduction. I have D springs installed in every Beretta I own along with a good polishing of all internal moving parts including the hammer, sear, & trigger. These firearms have a lot of performance potential.
This. Nothing compares to the D spring. It makes a HUGE difference in your double action trigger pull.

IMO, the most beautiful handgun ever made. My 92 is my favorite handgun.

Take your guitar to Dave Johnson at Carter Vintage in Nashville. He's an excellent luthier and worked at Gruhn for years as well. He does all my set up work.
An excellent practice amp for the money are the Roland Cube amps. Excellent amps.

I wouldn't call this a Glock failure, it's an ammunition problem. it's a bit extreme to blame the weapon for this.
There are many contributing factors to malfunctions wear, maintanence, ammunition, etc all can be a factor. Troubleshoot the problem, don't loose faith in your weapon over one event.
Fair enough.. It just took me by surprise, I guess.
Thanks for the responses, guys. I posted mainly to gauge how much I was overreacting. Everybody helped.

There is a first time for everything. Maybe I've just been lucky.

I'm not using aluminum cased federal for my self defense ammo. Haha!
I have just never see a Glock malfunction ever. I've been shooting them my whole life.

Could be wimpy ammo or dirty gun. Stovepipes are almost always caused by a failure to completely eject the fired case. I've noticed several manufacturers selling less powerful ammo than they used to. I fired many thousands of rounds of Aguila 124gr 9mm that had been chronographed at about 1200fps from my CZ75. The last case I bought was really weak, barely holding 1100fps. Penny wise and Pound foolish as the Brits used to say.
I'm thinking it was the ammo. I clean my guns after every range trip.
-
I picked up a couple of boxes of the cheap aluminum cased Federal 115 grain 9mm to take to the range today.
I've never had a problem with this ammo before, but today I had 3 stovepipe failures. There was nothing wrong with my shooting technique.
I went to the counter and bought a box of brass cased 9 and it shot without a single hiccup. Can I chalk this up to #### ammo or should I be genuinely worried about my Glock 19 failing when I need it most?

I'm a "stall guy," only because after years of being on the road with immature musicians, there's only so many times I can get kicked mid-stream by somebody I know.
I have probably used every public restroom across the the USA.

I'm very disappointed as well. I was really hoping for a poly 1911 or modular type handgun...not just another AR. I'm sure they'll get sales, it's the pre-season to be in the AR sales market.
I don't know what would cause a worse reaction, a "meh" AR or a polymer 1911. I can hear the collective assholes of millions of 1911 diehards pucker at the thought.

Obviously the immediate threat was not over as they turned and fired at her.
We need our fleeing forcible felon statutes back. If you threaten someone with a gun; you should be shot. You shouldn’t get a pass because you turned to run and got shot in the back.
I agree 100%. I was just wondering how a court would view it if she had killed one of them.
Beretta guys….school me.

I bought my 92FS new about 6 years ago. It doesn’t look matte to me?
