  1. Looks like we are on the same schedule! We took the same HCP class and applied about the same time. However, I dropped 30 lbs about 3 years ago! Waiting to get the permit is the more difficult part of the process!
  2. Thanks for the suggestions. It is the single clip tuckable model. It is about the same both on and off. Think I will just try the USE it method. Just break it in naturally. Seems to be a well constructed holster. Does a good job of concealment. My wife didn't even know I had it on. It is pretty comfortable with the P232. Also got the same style holster for my P229. The P229 is pushing the limits for IWB but is still functional.
  3. Just got a new D.M. Bullard leather IWB holster for my Sig P232. My gun fits pretty tight and draw is not real easy. Any input on breaking in a new holster or suggestions on products I can use to treat the inside of the holster to improve the draw would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  4. Both belts look great. Really like the Durango color and style.
  5. Number 3 seems to be the more prudent solution. Good luck!
  6. There was a review of this ammunition in a recent Guns & Ammo article. If I remember correctly, it was a very positive review.
  7. Set up new album named TNFAN's Album. When I go into members gallery I see the info on my user name but no thumbnail and no way to select the album. I have selected a picture as an album cover but it is not showing. Totally confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  8. Bought a Sig P229 SAS Gen II last week. Click on picture below to see more images:
  9. Here are the pictures, just click on the image to enlarge:
  10. Bought it at Speciality Arms in LaVergne, TN. They are located just SE of Nashville between Nashville and Murfreesboro. I believe they had a 239 but not positive. There are several Sig dealers in the Nashville area. Good luck on finding one.
  11. Purchased a new Sig P229 SAS Gen II .40 cal. DA/SA SRT this week. Made my first trip to the range with it today. Ran about 80 rounds of WWB through it without any issues. Very accurate. Really like the trigger action of the SRT. Also, the recoil was a lot less than I expected. I just need to get the magazine release switched since I am a lefty shooter and all will be good. Can't wait to get back out to the range!

    XD Owners!

Had the opportunity today to shoot my friends XD9 compact. Only shot one 10 round mag. Totally awesome weapon. 10 for 10 dead center at 23 feet. May have found my next purchase!
  13. No apology needed. Thought it was humorous that my look at me thread got jacked!
  14. My first ever thread and it gets threadjacked!
  15. Took the class at Guns and Leather yesterday. Very professionally done. I would highly recommend them. Large class of 46. Got a feeling the state is going to be swamped with HCP applications. Also got the opportunity to meet and spend some time with Angus. John is pretty proficient with the pistol! He had some nice head shots!
  16. Thanks Elliot for a great indoctrination. Now if I can just figure out how to load those damn magazines! Really takes a special person to volunteer to assist others like that. Speaks volumes for your character. Hopefully we can do it again soon and at a little better setting. Again, a big thank you!
  17. Too funny! Thanks for the warning guys! Will watch my backside! Just got off the phone with Elliot! Looking forward to going to the range tomorrow with him and firing a few rounds. Thanks Elliot!
  18. Definitely a novice here. Have not shot a weapon since I left Viet Nam in 1968. Have signed up for the HCP class at Guns & Leather for 11/15. Will start serious search for a weapon after that. Have done some research on the internet. Interested in looking at the Kahr 9PM. Any advice greatly appreciated!
