  1. I love letting people shoot my guns.  Especially people who are not into them in hopes that I hook 'em!

One more on the immediate wish list.  I want a Vepr 12.

I say immediate because the wish list is just too long.  I've really got to get a press up and running before any other purchase.

Factory ammo is killing the wallet.

  2. Yesterday I became an NRA life member!

I shot my .223 Wylde AR that I built for the first time!

And I picked up a Daniel Defense DDMV4 that I won.

Despite this being my first AR build (and my first AR ever owned), the gun ran like a champ.  I only put 30 rounds through it because I was on my lunch break, but I'm very pleased!

I didn't shoot the DD yet.  I'll play with it this weekend, but I don't think it's going to be as nice of a shooter as my build, but it sure is pretty to look at in Tornado Grey.

  3. That's what I've seen with the cheaper rails.  Metal is metal, but the finish on the cheaper rails isn't as nice.

I've quickly discovered how this AR game works.  You replace a part down the road and all the sudden you have extra parts!

What do you do with extra parts... Yeah, build another one!

  4. I need a free float rail recommendation for a 3 Gun build.  It's my first AR.  I don't want to break the bank on a rail.  Trying to keep under $150.

The barrel is an 18" .223 Wylde.

I'd like an M-Lok, slim setup.  Not sure if I should go with a 15" rail or a 17".

Basically looking for suggestions on the lower priced side.

  6. Excellent!  This is definitely my next step into competition.  Can't get enough of this stuff.

If my wife ever meets you I promise not to tell her that you're the guy that lets me shoot all his cool guns!

We know what happened last time I shot one of your guns!  I got the CZ itch!

  7. I really prefer hammer fired all metal guns, but I carry a Springfield XD Mod.2 9MM.  It feels really good in my hand and has a little heft to it so it recoils well.

I'm switching to my new CZ 75 Compact as soon as it proves reliable.  I'll shoot it in several IDPA matches and see if it runs well.  It's a good test.

I've occasionally carried my CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow, but it's tough to conceal and I can only carry it in the winter.

I just prefer all metal guns because of IDPA.  They seem to perform better for me and I enjoy shooting them.  After shooting hammer fired guns almost exclusively for the past year, I just like the feel of a hammer and a nice trigger.  Even striker fired guns with good trigger jobs just feel wrong to me now.
