  1. Before the Oct 20 update whenever I receive an email from the Firearms Classifieds section which I have set to "follow" and "immediate notification"; the email contained the entire first post with pictures and everything, now the email only has the first two lines.  Is there anyway to change this back.  Makes it handy to see from just the email without having to click the link into the forum posting.

  2. Didn't they show a clip of someone reloading one time on the show? Or am I thinking of the comic?

In one of the episodes in Woodbury you see reloading equipment in the background, don't remember which one, think it was when they were loading up to attack the prison.
  3. I have a Westernfield Shotgun made by Noble and the Release Lever Spring which is staked into the release lever is broken requiring you to hit the release lever after each shot if fired.  I'm going to have to make a spring (numrich is out of stock) and was wondering if anyone has one of the shotguns and could take a picture of the spring and how it attaches and interacts with the hammer and release lever.

    Thanks

Do I need to do something on my end?

  5. W/O reading all the previous posts...and we didn't watch The Talking Dead afterwards....did anyone else pick up on the fact it looked like the Gov. was the one who torched the biters? Morales says nothing about how the biters were barbecued but the Gov. specifically says "gasoline" when he's trying to get Tyreese to fess up...May have been unintentional....

Gov is in a Dodge pickup, it was a Ford at the pits when they were torched.

    Difficulties Contacting Ruger

    Q. I have not been able to get through to customer service or an operator at ShopRuger.com; what should I do?
    A. Please be patient. We have received an unprecedented volume of calls and are working to increase capacity and improve call center performance.

I ordered in Jan, albeit magazines, and just got my order last week.  They are working as fast as they can.

  7. Interesting from Ruger. Am I the only person who knows that Bill Ruger was a big gun control proponent? He helped get the Brady Bill passed to make a larger market for the mini 14/30 and the 10/22 by being the first person to propose the magazine capacity limits. He was a total douche and I have avoided buying Rugers ever since.

Ruger seems to have changed a lot as a company since Bill Ruger died; and it seemed he was trying to make it where they guns he made would not be banned by blaming the mags.  That way he could still make his money buy selling the Mini-14 and other guns with the smaller mag.  Giving the gun grabbers something so they would go away, but they never will.

Ruger now makes many magazines themselves that Bill Ruger himself wanted to see banned.

  8. I ordered Commander and Government kits in 2010, and like others have said they were tight. It was a couple of weeks before they shipped, but shipping times may have changed. I fitted all the other parts and then sent both to Fusion to have Ion Bond finish. Both shoot well, had some issues FTF that polishing up the breech face fixed, prior to finishing.

  9. How bad did you curse when you put the bolt catch roll pin in?;)

Found this tip on another walk through: wrap vise grips jaws with electrical tape and use them to install that pin. Adjust them so they slowly walk the pin in, less chance of damaging the finish on the lower that way.

  10. The way I understand TN Knife law it is not illegal. It does not classify as a switch blade because it does not use a button. You are pushing on the blade to open it not the handle.

  11. Go to the CMP site and see the requirements to be able to get a rifle before you take a trip. It will be a wasted trip if you don't. Unless they have changed things you can go and pick out a rifle but you will not be able to take it home with you. They have to ship it to you.

If you pick out a rifle you can take it with you, but you have to pay the local sales tax then. Or you can have it shipped to your house which is cheaper than the local tax.

  12. I should have my belt from K&D in about 2 weeks. I'll let you guys know how I like it when it arrives. Along with the belt, I'll also be getting a Maverick Defender for my G27 and an Eagle Defender for my EMP. I'm excited!

Have had my K&D belt for two years now. Excellent belt, double thick. Their holsters are just as nice.
