  1. Hopefully...LOL...but in the last 10 cars i've owned...when the car is "fogged up"...I hit that "A/C" button and boom...fog gone. So, what I was thinking, that the moisture isnt being drawn out while driving...therefore leaving more moisture in the car than normal.

The heater coil(core)...in my experience...is a whole different thing. I had a '90 model S-10 Blazer that, when the heater coil/core busted, it filled the passenger side floorboard with antifreeze and water. It might be a small leak.

  2. I'm real nervous about clogging up the barrel again.

I dont blame you at all...I'm thinking something HAS to be wrong somewhere....unless you were really, really on the low side...half of a grain won't cause a squib. I'm sorry I just don't have an answer....other than what you already know, go back and check everything again, double check ....but again, I'm sure you've done that.

Maybe someone with more "sperience" will come along shortly....

  3. This love/hate for JW seems to be an age difference thing. The younger folks want to go see the movie and don't really care about JW. It's us older folks that grew up with him that seem to have the most respect for him and his acting. As well as his patriotism for the USA.
I am definitely NOT questioning his patriotism...I have read lots of things about him and know that he was a true patriot and loved this country. I believe that he was an exceptional human being.....i just dont like his movies.
  4. I grew up loving westerns, except John Wayne movies. There's something about him that I don't like. Some of the plots are good, but I don't think he's a good actor.

I have the exact same feelings about John Wayne movies...I can't stand to watch one. Almost any other western, I love them. I just don't see the "affection".
  5. There are 2 in the Big town of Mt. Carmel...just east of me...i have to pass one going to work, and one going home. I've been thinking...somone should take a picture from directly over the camera(same angle as the camera) ...go home...print it off...then take it back to the camera and tape it over the lens....:D

  6. Obviously there are some differing opinions on this subject....thanks for the replies.

If...and that is a BIG IF...I change jobs...I will have to dress business casual most every day and straight business some days. I guess I'm saying that I need pants that will hold up, not shrink, and LOOK good too. Is there such a thing?

Is this something that I'm just gonna have to try and see what works for me?

  7. I'm usually in a pair of 5.11s or Woolrich Elite pants. I love them. The pockets work well for carrying cabling tools, external hard drives, etc..the everyday stuff of a computer geek. On the weekends, the front mag pocket comes in handy for my IDPA top off mag.

Check out LA Police Gear for some good sales on 5.11 gear.

    Thanks dunn!
  8. Yea, the sting aint so bad now but I sure was miffed for a couple of weeks. Nothing compared to my Father inlaw jumping on the hitch to loose the trailor from his BRAND NEW SUV 2 summers ago, he watched it roll down the side yard, launch off the embankment into the creek, roll over and rest submerged............yep, upsidedown, 8 ft deep. ON his birthday no less... it was not funny for several months mabey a year,
    :):puke::puke:I would be sick for.....ever.
  9. Thanks David...I have a closet full of the Dockers stuff, but, I wore those before I started carrying. I had it in my mind that they would NOT hold up. Plus i need more pockets!!...I carry a work phone, personal phone, my car keys, company vehicle keys, wallet, knife, lighter, cigarettes, business card wallet, sometimes a samll mag-lite, my EDC, plus a few other odds and ends from day to day.

The 5.11 stuff looks good on the net, but, so does a lot of other stuff.

Thanks for the opinion from a real user.

  10. My HCP instructor told us that to use deadly force, you must be in fear for your life. Getting your nose bloodied isn't fearing for your life.

I was once told by a very intelligent man...."When you get into an altercation(fist fight, etc)...it IMMEDIATELY becomes a life or death situation IF one of you are armed."

Your gun falls out and the other party grabs it....

You get your ass kicked and the other party TAKES your gun....

The other party beats you continuously until you die....

I said the EXACT same thing to this person....He changed my thinking within 2 minutes of explanation.

  11. Ok guys...I may be changing jobs soon...and jeans are gonna be a thing of the past. And, I'll have to start tucking my shirt in again.

Is 5.11 clothing acceptable for business casual wear?

    Is the clothing COMFORTABLE?

    Wash well?

    Ironing?

    Cold weather? Hot weather?

    Etc. etc. etc?????

Please give me your honest opinions....thanks.

  12. REALLY?!?!? :stunned: Are you really trying to prove your case by insulting the career of someone who is speaking their honest opinion? Where the heck do you get off pulling that crap? You, sir, have proven to me that you are little more than an arrogant jerk who can't handle not getting his way. I'll be very sure to pass along this info to all of my friends and fellow gun enthusiasts.

In case you haven't figured this out yet smart guy, we customers are the ones that keep you in business, and we have every right to gripe and complain. Throwing your weight around by popping off at people you don't even know just because you don't like what they have to say isn't professional by any stretch of the imagination. If you had spent a little time around the forums instead of making your initial posts a collection of rants and insults, you would see that most of the folks here talk regularly about how they are happy to spend a little extra to support their local gun shops. You jumped into this with both feet, stirred up the hornet's nest, got your butt handed to you, and instead of apologizing and bowing out gracefully, you just toss out some more insults. Way to go there hot shot. :stunned:

    :stunned::clap::screwy:.....:bow:

  13. You are 100% correct that the word EVERYONE was too broad, unfair and, not accurate. It wasn't "everyone" it just seemed like it on the tread I responded to.... even TGA Dave comment that it seemed the posters were trying to drive off Gunny's business.

In as far as you basing a decision to shop or not shop at Frontier Firearms that is your privilege albeit one that I will regret come time to pay my bills.

However, that you would give Frontier a negative review on the basis of my having used the wrong choice of a single word "everyone" instead of "many", I can only shake my head in shame -- shame for you.

In fact, your words soil the badge you display as your Avatar - a tribute to members of our Armed forces and Law Enforcement.

What I wrote had nothing to do with how you or any other customer would be treated in our shop. That you would review of our store negatively based on the my post is nothing less than dishonest. Unless you have shopped at Frontier and had a bad experience to say anything negative about our store without shopping in it would be a false.

He can have a NEGATIVE impression of YOUR shop because of YOUR (the owner) ignorant comments.

If I don't like the local car dealer (because he is ignorant) ...should I still go shopping at his dealership?
