I wont be participating... i'd rather not leave a firearm in my car to be stolen.
I agree. No sense in takin a chance on the weapon being stolen and used in a crime.

Reagan deserves his place among our Greatest Americans

i seemed to have missed the response"scotty" made that upset everyone. is it posted on here or has it been removed? I can honestly say without a doubt, if a snake is in my basement it would be removed. End of story

exactly as I always believed. Global Warming is a farce, shocking news? lol

I do not drink any alcohol but man the country down that way is awesome. The deer hunting is great too.

True. However, having attended an actual school of law, my sarcastic comment in regard to the last three legal opinions was more in jest, but my dry sense of humor is often not perceived.
I can say emphatically that only one of them was 100% correct, one 99% correct, the other one flat out incorrect.
rab1961 - the issue is whether he is an American citizen, being born on American soil could be an element in defining that, but is not the sole definition. The issue is natural vs. naturalized vs. just plain illegal alien.
slothful1 - is also correct, however I have seen and heard things that make me think that he wasn't born in Hawaii as claimed. Nevertheless, I don't think anyone will/can ever do anything about it, SCOTUS doesn't seem to care, and everyone is afraid it would bring a civil war. I say bring out the truth no matter what, but that's just me.
BryanP - BryanP is correct in that one need not be born on American soil within the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska or one of the many U.S. Territories. Also included as being U.S. soil would be any of the many military bases around the world (where John McCain was born to active duty parents) and any U.S. Consulates and Embassies. Regardless of those, any U.S. citizen female who gives birth while abroad gives birth to a U.S. Citizen, unless she has renounced her citizenship.
If my already American-citizen wife and I are in Paris on vacation and she gives birth, our child is a U.S. Citizen, not French. The United States seems to be the only (stupid) country to allow anyone who plops out a kid on our sand to be called an 'american'. No other country would allow this.
There are many other variations and complexities based on marriage where only one of the parents is a U.S. Citizen while a child is born outside of the U.S., the combinations are numerous. Obama seems to possibly fit into this category at the very best. At worst, he doesn't even make this one.
Thank you mcurrier for the information. We are all in agreement that BO is not the man for the job. I firmly believe that BO and his administration will be the downfall of our great country.

I agree that he is the anti Christ...
But his citizenship is valid....his mother was born in Kansas I think...Father Kenya...and I think her mother was from Hawaii...further killingg the issue...That alone ends the citizenship debate...
I beleive the reason he will not produce the birth cirtificate is very different...
Don't jump on me with both feet about this...
It is my understanding that the race of a child is determined on the BC by the mother. So that being said (someone correct me if I am wrong) he would be listed as caucasion...Keep in mind the time period he was born...Now that could kill his legacy of the first black President....But if this is true and he continues to what I feel is a dismal tenure it will come to light...produced by his own side...
I would never begrudge another American of his right to free speech. The issue is not whether he is an American citizen but was he born on American soil. Unless I am wrong, I believe the law states you have to be born on American soil to hold the position of President. His grandmother stated he was born in Africa...
-
He can't. He's not a natural born citizen.
Hmmm has our current president ever supplied proof of his birth? Last I heard he has not and refuses to. Simply amazes me...

way cool! good time to be had by all.

It's been on my wish list as many other guns are, I've wanted a .357 Sig gun with a .40 barrel that can be converted with a simple barrel change. Don't know if a spring change would be necessary also. The only auto's I've had were the common calibers, 9mm Luger and .45 ACP. Had a .380 and .32 and .25 in the past.
No spring change in my SIG 229

Love my SIG 229. Has the 357 and the 40 barrels. Best shooter I have ever had. Check my avatar for a pic of this beast. What weight 357 sig you shootin? I like the Winchester 115 gr best.

Dave I am in the same situation. I work for the gov't and cannot carry. What really stinks is not being able to keep my weapon in the vehicle. I feel almost naked driving home and to work without my handgun.
-
I went and traded a SIG220 for a BLR in 270. Crowded... yes and not many good deals.
-
as a reporter it is always prudent to get both sides of the story. I did not see any interviews with a pro gun carry representative on why we feel it is wise to conceal carry in public places. Maybe the life that is saved would be the one with the girls who play in the park...
-
Good Job! You may have inspired me to try. Thanks...

It is what we need in this country to curb violence and crime. If more people carried you sure would not have home invasions like in California where they took the families 3 year old son. I am sick of this kind of thing happening to the defenseless children.

worked for me. it is imperrative you make the call

well written indeed

My XD SC 9mm with 13+1 weighs exactly 32 oz.
Even a geezer should be able to walk around with an extra 2 lbs seems to me.

hahahaha

Very cool. I would have kept the Kimber also. You will love the Taurus.
-
buy a SIG 229 and have both barrels. Quality and accuracy is a perfect match.
-
Heck yeah it has. No centerfire to be found in popular calibers. What is out there the prices are being gouged not only by store owners but our own "brothers" in the shooting industry. Typical greed taking control of basic humanity. Disgusting...
New NRA TN License Plates
in General Chat
Posted
I was thinkin I would purchase a NRA license plate to continue to show my support for an organization that I support. Yet, after reading the comments on displaying my affiliations with guns and how that does lead to attacks... well why invite more heartache? I rescind my vote and vote a resounding "NO". Thanks for your eye awakening comments my friends.
