As I understand it, the ATF more or less considers it to be when you start doing the work for other people AND they are leaving their guns in your possession while they are absent. Whether it's fitting and installing parts or refinishing the serialized component of the gun itself, that's when an FFL is required and that's when you are on their books as a gunsmith.
Thanks for the info glad to see you other than classifieds great site Sir

Has anyone put in for an SBR stamp lately. Instead of waiting for the ATF to ban the brace I was thinking about just putting in for a stamp on all my AR pistols. Does anyone follow what is going on with the Brace closely and have a very educated guess on where it will all land. Pretty sure I will do it anyways would love to hear the pro's and con's of just stamping my pistols

Just throwing it out there` I am quite sure you all are as passionate as me about guns. I have spent thousands of hours reading books and magazines and paying special attention when the subject is accuracy. I have also spent countless hours watching videos and programs on the same. I have built a lot of AR-15's and have thousands of dollars in tools to do it right. Barrel dimpling gas block pinning lapping and fitting tools. I have even started to rebarrel bolt action rifles. I have rebarrelled one Remington and five Savages. I just spend way too much on my so called hobby that I wonder when I can start putting my name out there and making a few dollars off of the thousands of dollars in tools that I have acquired. Just wondering if you all have spent that kind of money on tools to get the utmost accuracy out of your personal firearms and think the same way. I would love to hear your thoughts.

This may cause trouble but I won't carry my strikers with one in the pipe. I just add racking the slide to my training at the range. I will however carry one in the pipe with my Berretta with the decocker I have never felt safer carrying one in the chamber. You are all cussing me right now but just a few month ago in Smyrna a 5 year old took a gun out of his fathers backpack at Lee Victory park on Sam Ridley. The first thing a young kid does when he picks up a gun is puts his thumb through the trigger guard and grips the handgun both of which release a beaver tail safety and the scissor trigger safety and also leaves the barrel pointed right at his head. Unless he knows to trip the decocker on say my Berretta the trigger is useless. Not to say all hammers are safer but that decocker on my 92FS has made me so comfortable carrying with one in the chamber I just love it. And yes my kids are very educated in firearm safety but it is a story you hear on the news around here every few months so obviously some aren't training their kids as for me I will carry the safest gun I know of. All of my best shooting guns are striker and I do carry just not one in the pipe.

Can't tell in the photos for sure. Is the slide cut for an optic? If so, did it come with plates?
Yes it is cut for optic and the plate is on the pistol

Sure. Kennebec potatoes will keep from year to year and you can replant them. We put them in milk crates and store them in the basement. Good luck keeping potato bugs off your plants!
Thanks for Kennebec is there a distance I can grow them from other crops to keep them safe from potato bugs

I am new to gardening I try something new every year and I really want try potato's this year. I feel like they are the ultimate prepper food just not sure how they do here. Has anyone been successful keeping the potato's over the winter to start your next years crop. I have also been wiped out by bugs every year since I moved to Baxter. Has any one found a clean solution to bug problem or am I just gonna have to use chemicals.
