There are clips, and then there are magazines. In any case, it should not damage either one to keep them loaded. Springs wear from being cycled, not from being compressed.

So true! I contacted some manufacturers & they said exactly what you said, "Cycling a spring 'hurts' it more than storing it compressed." One manufacturer said the same about the firing pin/action spring leaving a pistol cocked.

  2. I bought an advertised kit at Wamart. I did everything it said to do but not much happened... until the very last step. When I did the very last step (a wet wipedown) suddenly they cleared up like magic.

A friend had tried the same kit & said that it didnt work. When I asked if he had followed the directions exactly he said no. I told him that mine did not clear up until the very last step and he said that that was the one step he ignored. 😂

Met several of you over the past year and a half; conversed with many more. I'm so thankful for the camaraderie here, and as a refugee from behind the Progressive Curtain, thankful for the freedoms we enjoy together. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

    Well said!

  4. I'm a newbie. I'm not sure if I can refer you to a dealer that can likely get you one or not? (I read the rules twice)

He got me a spare magazine for an out of production Marlin and some spare Henry mags.
