  1. Having a very hard time obtaining .410 in 7.5 shot. I see slugs, larger 5 & 6 shot & some #9 shot but anything 7.5 seems to appear then instantly vanish. Any sources? Walmart sonetimes laughs when you ask them.
  2. So true! I contacted some manufacturers & they said exactly what you said, "Cycling a spring 'hurts' it more than storing it compressed." One manufacturer said the same about the firing pin/action spring leaving a pistol cocked.
  3. I have both but I prefer the .45-70. Super accurate & it's just a hoot to shoot. (An aftermarket recoil pad is a must)
  4. I bought an advertised kit at Wamart. I did everything it said to do but not much happened... until the very last step. When I did the very last step (a wet wipedown) suddenly they cleared up like magic. A friend had tried the same kit & said that it didnt work. When I asked if he had followed the directions exactly he said no. I told him that mine did not clear up until the very last step and he said that that was the one step he ignored.
  5. I just wanted to wish all shooters here in the brotherhood* a Happy Thanksgiving. Like good old TN, this is a good place to be. *Sisters too
  6. I've had a Winchester .30-30 which was a hoot to shoot & a Marlin .45-70 which is some serious fun. For plinking fun I would stay with a (cheap to shoot) .22, but that's just me.
  7. I'm a newbie. I'm not sure if I can refer you to a dealer that can likely get you one or not? (I read the rules twice) He got me a spare magazine for an out of production Marlin and some spare Henry mags.
  8. An old Wards, old Sears, Remington Targetmaster, Marlin 60 & several Savages. All shoot great. Love 'em
