I asked this in a national forum that I am a part of, but wanted to get it posted here in a TN Gun Owner forum. I have a family friend who is wanting to purchase a PSA AR-15 for her husband as a Christmas gift. Is it possible for her to order/purchase it in her name for him? If she orders it, picks up from the dealer with an approved background check, can she just gift it to him or do they eventually have to transfer it at an FFL? Thanks!

Newbie firearm owner here, just purchased a PSA 16" Mid-Length for Christmas…can’t wait to take delivery. 20 year Army Retiree, but I never really had an interest in owning firearms until recently.
