  1. This is a NIB unfired (since leaving the factory) S&W Performance Center 629-6 model 170135A. It is chambered in .44 magnum and has a six-shot cylinder. Some of the Performance Center upgrades include slab side 2.625” barrel with recessed muzzle, ball detent crane lock, trigger stop, and tuned action. This Performance Center 629-6 comes with beautiful wood grips. Front sight is dovetail style and is currently a S&W red ramp while the rear sight is the S&W fully adjustable white outline. Additional photos can be viewed her - https://vgy.me/album/bUUkDPWK MSRP is $1,279. $1,200 (no tax or FFL fees) to Tennessee residents with HCP and who are willing to show it. Picked up at Marshall County Tennessee Sheriff's parking lot. Shipping to your FFL will be an additional $50. My eBay (id=justicentyme) & Gunbroker (id-Dr-Cad) feedback can be viewed at the following links. https://feedback.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/justicentyme https://www.gunbroker.com/a/feedback/profile/68987 No trades at this time Thanks for looking Cheers James
  2. Prepped 500 Starline 38 Short Colt cases this afternoon. I'll work up some test loads on the Rock Chucker, chrono them, and check their accuracy from the bench using a 4X scope and then set up a Dillon RL550 tool head for that load. I've got lots of several powers that I can try. I'll be shooting them in my S&W 5" PC 627. This will be the tenth handgun caliber I load for but I doubt it will be the volume of 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP I load and shoot. Cheers James

  3. How about fixing mine while you're at it. It's been over two weeks and still no resolution for a problem that I had that was apparently resolved for someone who had the same problem AFTER I did and posted for help about it!

  5. Word of the CSX's merits is starting to spread and S&W has upped production of them. They are going off the dock so fast and in such a volume that S&W is now shipping them by the trainload. Cheers James
  6. Thank you sir. I appreciate your assistance. Cheers James
  7. I've tried to get in touch with the administrator several times using the "Contact Us" facility with no response whatsoever and now seven days after this initial post still no response. What does it take to actually get in touch with someone capable (and willing) to correct a user account problem? James
  8. In November, 2015 I decided to add a high capacity optic equipped pistol to my carry rotation. I had never even shot a S&W M&P but I am a S&W fan boy so I bought a new 4 1/4" M&P40 PC Ported and put a Type 1 (the only one made at that time) Trijicon 6.5 MOA RMR RM07 on it. I also installed the full Apex internals, everything that they sold for it. I tried a few different holsters and settled on the CompTac Flatline. Thousands of rounds through it and not a single malfunction of any kind. For defensive carry it is topped up with Federal 165 HST. When either of the M&Ps do nightstand duty they get a Streamlight TLR-1 A few years later I bought a 5" S&W M&P9 PC Ported and put a Trijicon Type 2 3.25 MOA RMR RM06 on it. It also has full Apex internals in it and rides in a BladeTech holster that I had used in IDPA for my S&W M&P9 Pro Series. About a half dozen years ago I decided I wanted a Trijicon RMR on a 1911. After looking at all of the "candidates" the least valuable one was a S&W SW1911 in .45 ACP that I had bought new in December of 2012. Because the Trijicon RMRs are wider than a 1911 slide Trijicon makes an adapter that includes a rear night sight and includes the front suppressor height night sight. After much research I decided to send the slide to Parker Mountain Machine, and I'm very glad that I did. I'm a retired Machinist, Tool & Die Maker, CAD/CAM Operator, CNC Programmer and Operator I can appreciate outstanding machine work when I see it. The machining is fantastic! I originally put a new Type 2 Trijicon 6.5 MOA RMR RM07 on it but later swapped with the M&P40 PC Ported as it gets shot and carried much more. I've already introduced the members to my S&W CSX with a 6 MOA SIG Romeo-X that is currently carried in a 1791 pancake holster. None of my revolvers have red dots, yet. Cheers James

  10. A case could be made that 9mm is the only "right" chambering for the 1911 Commander as that is what it was developed with and when the military didn't buy it that is what it was offered to the public in 1950. In it's first year of commercial/public production the aluminum frame 1911 Commander that was developed for the 9mm was also offered in .38 Super and .45 ACP. So if we go to the history of the aluminum framed 1911 Commander we see that the original prototypes and first offerings to the military were in 9mm. Cheers James
  11. The OP had asked for "thoughts on 9mm 1911 for EDC" and I, as well as others, responded about Commander size 1911s in 9mm as well as in .45 ACP. A full size 1911 in 9mm is a very pleasant handgun to shoot. S&W SW1911 Pro Series 9mm With the right high ride/close tuck holster, reasonably loose clothing, and care they can be acceptably discreetly concealed and carried. Cheers James
  12. Thanks It's a a great combo for me. Cheers James
  13. I got an email from S&W, "The Hottest Pistols From S&W This June". Whether it's of any significance or not the CSX E-Series was number one on the list. Cheers James
  14. I had trouble setting up my account and getting my Benefactor payment. Unfortunately I was charged twice for Benefactor I would appreciate assistance getting this issue resolved. Thank you J.
