Am I the only one who thinks that we are at the beginning of the next civil war?
Well, since we've been in an uncivil one for a while it wouldn't be such a great leap..........

Just give them this paraphrased Rudyard Kipling quote:
"When they ask you why we died tell them because our fathers lied."

We use several Arlo cameras both inside and outside and have been happy with them except for the battery life when it is cold (30 deg or less). Anyone else
had this issue?. Arlo customer support hasn't been much help.

Does anyone here really believe that if we did not currently have concealed carry in Tennessee that we could get it through the current House, Senate and Governor? I do not. Sad.......

I ran across this article that claimed to rank Tennessee cities as the least happy and most miserable by a number of factors. I must be associating with the "wrong folks" as I sure don't agree with many of their conclusions. I know a bunch of unhappy and wealthy people in Germantown....their number one "happy" city. Thought it was an interesting reading anyhow.

Here's a link to a map, and a $2.00 off admittance to the event coupon:

I don't believe your experience is atypical. I have had good experiences dialing up the Wilson Co-op store manager or dealing with the Rutherford Co Co-op in Murfreesboro instead. Either one should be able to give you either some contacts or the bulk price they charge. Shouldn't have to run it up the chain but sometimes that is the better/only option.
We got aggravated at the Co-op several years back and moved our feed purchases to Edwards Feed in Lebanon. Much higher in cost but you can't beat the quality of the feed blend or the customer service.

Drove by the Remington Ammunition plant in Lonoke, AR last Sunday morning and the parking lots were packed. Looks like they are staying busy.

I might see them allowing E-5 and above to carry, but there would be something like 2-3 checks a day and a formal reporting requirement, just like any other sensitive item check. Never mind how fast post could get locked down if someone misplaces their carry gun.
Yep. I was on Ft Wainwright when a M16 went missing. The entire post was locked down for four days. You would have thought a nuke had been misplaced. The M16 was later found in the arms room.......armorer error.

I think California has the money already. Their politicians just can't bring themselves to start making "hard" choices and stop buying votes. I was born and raised in Tennessee but lived for a few years in California when it really was a nice place to live and work. Their entitlement utopia ain't working and never will.

Won? Maybe some battles but surely not the war.......

Bull####.
Pretty much my thoughts also.....but I probably would not have been quite so eloquent.

I heard an interview with a NRA spokesman on the radio yesterday. He said that she had a prior commitment at an outdoor show in Wisconsin and could not arrange transportation in time to make the Nashville event.

It's really getting harder and harder to tell the Liberals from the Conservatives sometimes and it gets real confusing when people who's name are on a bill don't vote, or just concede the bill without a fight:
"....Then, in declaring the outcome of the votes on both measures Coley says, “The ‘noes’ have it, the bill fails.” However, according to the General Assembly’s website, Coley is listed on both bills, along with fellow committee member Jon Lundberg, as having abstained from the votes."
These yahoo's are a loooong way from any kind of a conservative.

In keeping with the title of the thread it was 81 degrees and sunny here in Ocala, FL yesterday. But we will be back in TN Wednesday. :hiding: :pleased:

They're actually all over the place, just rebranded. I get mine from East Penn (Deka) in Madison, TN, but I'm not sure if they sell to walk in's. I would think they would though.
Edit* Here is where you can get them. Just put in your zip and it will pull up the closest dealer to you. Another reason that I like Deka is that they are completely made in the USA, from the plastic, to the lead and acid. Plus they can recycle 99% of the scrap battery. It's a impressive facility they have in Pennsylvania.
Yes, they do sell to walk in's. Bought numerous batteries there: Bass Boat, Tractors, Trucks, solar systems, etc. Good batteries compared to what I have used
in recent years.

She's a traitor for sure. But has she actually had a change of heart? It's been 40 years.

I admit, I tend to be a bit naive when it comes to people. I do think people can change their minds. Just not very forgiving, however.
There's a huge difference in "changing your mind" and "changing your heart". Only she knows the real truth but I've got a pretty good idea.
Maybe they'll bury her and John K.......ooops...better not say what I really think.

I saw about 20 boxes of that exact same ammo for $24.95 on the shelf at the Gander Mtn in Ocala, FL a couple of days ago. Limit 1. Maybe they are randomly putting it out at their retail locations also.

Kindle Paper White. Best screen, of any kind, I have seen for readability. Bright sun, total darkness, etc. Very simple, intuitive controls also.

It would appear that Brian Haas is currently the PIO for the Nashville Fire Department. If so, I think it is a step up for him professionally. :pleased:

Comes from the top down like everything else. Bad management equals bad workers.
To paraphrase an old adage: "The workers do well what the boss checks." When leaders/bosses don't check how do they even know that the workers understand
basic procedures let alone changes or new procedures. Complacency at the top usually results in complacency throughout the ranks. Leadership 101.

This article says that they found 34 guns between his hotel room and home. Two had evidently been modified to fire full auto. Interesting article if only part of it is verified.
