  1. Another vote for the Collectibles Insurance. They do increment the coverage by some percentage each year (premium also). This can be frozen upon request. I did freeze mine but need to reset coverage due to inflation and some unexplained growth in number of items.

    No claims to date fortunately.

  2. I thought he did well, came off believable (to me). A jury may see differerntly of course. There is no doubt in my mind it was a valid case of self defense. An older wiser person likely would not have put himself in that position.  He had as much right to be there as anyone else.

I doubt that any adult would have presented himself better in either  the confrontation or on the stand.

  3. Call them and get on their waiting list, it took several months to get my garand  rebarreled. Once your turn comes around they send a rma number and instructions for shipment. It is fairly quick from this point. It turned out to be a lot cheaper than the gunsmith quoted. Covid caused then to be shut down for a while.

I had previously  left it at a local smith for what was supposed to be a two week job. It turned out to be an ordeal and I pulled it out untouched  two months later when told it might be two or three months more.  I was more than satisfied with CMP even with the wait.

Great offer, too bad I am on the other end of the state and unable to meet. Someone else will be lucky. I think this is the first time I appeared to get there first

So you’re saying I should remove my kids from my auto insurance policy? That sure would save me some big money!

Sorry, but I am not buying it, or else you and I misunderstand each other.

All I’m saying is that when my children received a driver’s license, my insurance agent added them to our policy as a primary driver to whatever vehicle I chose. If this was an option or merely a suggestion, I was not informed. This also came with a giant bill each time.

I think we are misunderstanding each other, if my children (or in my case grandson) had been living with me or had otherwise been a regular operator he would have had to have been named on the policy to have been insured.

They certainly made a point of asking if he lived with me. He does not, it was a temporary loan on a vehicle while his was in for repair.

I (like some others) thought that his insurance would be involved but that did not turn out to be the case.

What would the agent have said if grandson had never had any auto insurance?

It would not have made any difference, it was my vehicle that I am required to have insured if it is on the road.

When I asked my State Farm Agent if someone else was covered if I let them drive my vehicle, he told me that if they had a wreck; their insurance would kick in first, if they didn’t have insurance, mine would cover it.

My Grandson's insurance did not cover my vehicle when he was in a wreck in March 2019. My insurance (Allstate) took the complete hit. He did have insurance on his car at the time. My agent said it followed the vehicle.

  9. I was in a commercial airline over Detroit, the ground stop had just happened, planes lined up on the taxiway but none leaving. Even security at the airport had not been told. the CNN on the monitors were showing the first tower strike. The second strike occurred as I left the airport. I drove back to Nashville the next day in a rental car. If I had not already gotten it I probably would have been stranded there for a week.

  10. Some LE departments have policies requiring seat belt use and include this in training. This is true for local SO. I believe I am alive today due to belt use in a dept vehicle. State law does not override common sense.
