  1. Well, we pulled the trigger on it and are going to split it 4 ways. I will probably supplement certain items since splitting it 4 ways doesn't exactly work easily. I guess if Memphis has that earthquake I'll be able to fend for myself in my house for a little while and pick off the Memphians flooding east. Might purchase one extra can to crack open and see if its actually any good. While were talking about the SHTF stuff, anyone have good suggestions on high calorie short term food supply? I have some of the Datrex survival bars, but it sure is a fair amount of weight and size for a measly 2000 calories.
  2. Funny, I had a very similar experience back about 7 years ago when I bought my Kahr P9. I would be able to get through a few rounds but every so often it would stovepipe. I thought it might just be my grip, but could not get it to feed more than a magazine or two without this happening. I called customer service, and they did the same thing. I sent my gun to them Fedex and it was returned to me 2 days later. 7 years later it has never happened again. I am really happy with my Kahr and their customer service. I understand things having problems every once in a while and don't expect everything to always be perfect, but its how the company handles these things that really shows quality to me.
  3. Costco - $799.99 after $200 OFF Shelf Reliance THRIVE Wow, thats a long link, but saw this stuff on Costco.com and its normally $1000.00 Figured i might go in 4sies with some family members and spread it across the state at our different locations. Its basically astronaut food. Anyways talked to the company, everything is freeze dried or dehydrated. 25-30 year shelf life unopened and at worst 6mo.-1 year once opened. We figure its 1.5 months a couple worth of food once split up. Anyone have any experience with this stuff? Its called Shelf Reliance on Costco.com if the link doesn't work.
  4. Budslawenforcement.com They have been awesome to deal with, super fast shipping and good Customer service. The non discounted one is now selling for 660 or 670 last I checked. Guns for Sale
  5. Thx guys, I've already spent much more than the gun in my head! I'll be doing the MOE furniture then I'm thinking an Eotech 512. Of course the DD Omega 7.0 looks mighty nice, but holy cow its expensive.
  6. Got my new Doublestar STAR-15 today. What a deal! Haven't shot it yet but figured I'd post some pics since when I was researching I couldn't find much on the nitty gritty specs of these things. Don't let the price fool you, its looks great. I'll let you know how it shoots once I get that far. Details:no chromed barrel and no M4 Feed ramps. For 650 out the door, I'm not complaining. Also a Commercial spec Buffer Tube. (I didn't buy the CTR since I wasn't sure what it was going to come with) Hope you like em mini-CIMG1864 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! mini-CIMG1862 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! mini-CIMG1861 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! mini-CIMG1860 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! mini-CIMG1858 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
