  1. I've heard of a group called the TN Constitutional Militia. The person I heard about it from probably wouldn't like it if I told you anything about him. I asked him a bit about joining, but since I'm in school to become a cop I didn't look into it further since police can't be part of a militia as far as I know.

  2. Daddyo, if your reasoning for not believing in ghosts is because of christianity and the bible, then how do you explain the Witch of Endor in 1st Samuel? The witch that Saul seeks out who subsequently summons the spirit of the deceased Samuel.

    1st Samuel 28:3-25

I personally have never had any personal experience to make me believe in ghosts, but I am a person who is very open to possibilities and doesn't like to rule something out unless there is concrete reason to deny it to be possible.

  3. I watch his program when I spend time with my dad. My dad likes the drama and theatrics from the standpoint that he thinks it's funny, and sometimes it can be pretty funny. As far as I can tell the only blatant inaccuracy I've noticed in his talks is how he talks about the founding fathers being christian. Anyone who's done a significant amount of research on the founding fathers knows they were not christian, and I have no doubt that Beck knows this. I have no doubt that he merely refers to them as such to cater to his audience which everyone knows is right-wing and predominately christian and patriotic. Now, I'm not knocking any of those things, I'm not christian myself but the fact is simple that most right wing patriots are devout christians who think of the founding fathers the same way because their personal patriotism has been tied directly to their religious beliefs. "In God we trust", "One nation under God" and all those whatnots serve to support this. Again, not trying to knock it, just stating the facts.

  4. What do you guys think? I really like the steel frame and long slide of the Hi-power. It's like a long slide 1911 with a bit chopped off the price tag. Goin' to a gun show on the 17th and I'll be pretty tempted to trade my Bersa Thunder .380 to knock the price down a bit if I get a good enough offer. I know there's already a thread about the digicamo Hi-power but I wanted some fresh opinions.

  5. Yeah, I'm looking at getting a .40 sometime in the future. I carry both The Judge and my .380, the Bersa Thunder Plus, on me. I picked up the .380 because it was cheap, it was small, and it had a 15 round capacity to balance out the fact that the judge is a 5 round revolver. Now, I don't have to use the judge unless the .380 doesn't stop it.

  6. Considering I shoot .45 lc, .380, and I'm saving up for the .50 Beowulf at the end of summer, it's been made very clear that I need to start doing my own reloading. I also have no idea what I would be doing so I was just hoping for some advice, tips, and maybe what brands to look for and which ones to avoid.

  7. I don't have the Beowulf, yet, but I've been researching it a good bit and am very strongly leaning towards one. I'm saving up for a semi-auto rifle something that serves as a short to medium range meat grinder. This rifle is perfect for me. I've been talking to people about it, a buddy told me he saw footage of tests with the rifle, one being shooting through the hood of an S10 at an 8 degree angle. Bullet passed through the hood with no change made to the course of the round, passed through the firewall, and finally came to a stop embedded somewhere in the cab of the truck. Sorry, but I don't know the range at which this test was conducted.

  8. As anyone who has tried will probably tell you, carrying The Judge is arkward and uncomfortable at best. While this does vary from model to model there's no way to make up for the size of that chamber. I have found a potential solution, and it's on sale.

Zoom Window - Sportsman's Guide Product

Leather concealed carry vest. 2 large inside pockets with nylon straps. It's not custom fitted for any specific handgun or handgun/extra mags configuration. While this means it may not have the best fit in the world it does offer versatility for a variety of configurations. I have just ordered one and can't wait to test it with my Judge. The placement of 1 large inside pocket on each side also offers the potential of left-handed cross draw, something that I understand is very difficult to find a shoulder holster system for.

  9. Update on the story of the crazy lady calling the police at the sight of a firearm. I didn't have time to ask her exactly why she called the police. She wasn't actually one of our customers. She came in after he left and told us everything she did. I guess she wanted to warn us about the danger of the armed paying customer who was already on his way home. She certainly wasn't a "young lady", but she was frantic enough to keep anyone else from getting a word in edgewise. Once I get my holster worked on for my Judge so it has some form of retention such as a strap and button, I'll start open carrying that. It's also difficult as all get out to conceal that freakin' thing.

Also, dough that's been in a cooler the way pizza chains do needs to be left out to warm up for a bit as opposed to going straight to the makeline, turned into a pizza, and put it the oven. Dough that doesn't get prepped properly can very easily make people sick. That's how you can get food poisoning from bread.

  10. I'm trying to decide which assault rifle I should start saving up for. I'm leaning towards a bullpup style and would like to get something larger then a .223/5.56 but the caliber is not totally out of the question. I really like the FN FS2000 and PS90. I was hoping for some suggestions from people with some more AR experience as this will be my first rifle of any kind.

  11. I work at a Dominos in Bellevue. A man came in, picked up a pizza he had ordered over the phone and payed for it, then left. A woman came in right after, slightly frantic about the fact that he had a gun in his waistband and told us she had already called the police. That kinda stuff pisses me off. She literally called the police because he was carrying a weapon. She had not even considered the amount of trouble she was causing both him, and the police, or the fact that he had made no attempt to rob us or commit any kind of crime. I didn't even bring up the fact that it was a white woman who called the police the instant she saw a black man with a gun, which probably could've gotten her in alot of trouble. If the police even did anything, they never came out to our store, so I doubt they did.

  12. Also, I have a bit of interest in becoming a gunsmith. I've heard about a one week hands-on course in Virginia but it costs $2000. I'm not entirely sure it's worth it due to the fact that it seems you have to know somebody who owns a gun shop to get a job at one. Any tips or advice?
