I think that's the best way to watch them because you can watch 3 or 4 episodes at a time. Watching from week to week always leaves me wanting more at the end of each episode.
Amen to that! Netflix is the way to go. We got sick and tired of the rate increases and pulled the plug on Comcast cable TV over a year ago.

I hunt with a Wicked Ridge Warrior. Wicked Ridge is the "economy" line made by Ten Point. Great quality great customer service. Waver creations.com is a great site I can recommend.

If it turns out to be a "sport" that really piques my interest, then I'll reconsider something more "top shelf".
BTW, what's the advantage of a "reverse" xbow? The prices are outrageous, even the Barnett Vengeance is over $800!

Didn't really know where to post this message, but this forum seem the most likely place... I'm seriously considering picking up an xbow, nothing too expensive or with a lot of bells and whistles. Before I cough up the cash, I'd like to try a couple out, perhaps hook up at an archery range/event and learn about what to look/look out for, etc.. I started to register on tndeer.com, but I refuse to enter my complete address, phone number, etc, all of which is apparently required information. Any TGO'ers out there are that share a common interest?

Just recently got my Geissele G2S installed, I love it.. $165
That's the 2-stage... I'd considered that one because of the reviews I'd read, but my budget wouldn't allow it. At any rate, I'm happy with it and would recommend it to anyone that's on a budget as tight as mine.

Indeed I do! The trigger has a crisp break at 4 to 4.5 lbs., which certainly beats the stock FCG.

I finally got the new trigger installed last night... easy peasy! I noticed a decrease in creep and slightly lighter pull. What's really improved is the break... nice and crisp. I noticed that the polished surfaces on the trigger and hammer have a light coat of some sort of lubricate that's almost like a waxy substance, think candle wax or chapstick. What's a good lubricant for those surfaces?

I would highly recommend the ALG QMS trigger. It gives about the same pull weight as a mil spec trigger (think home defense) while offering a repeatable crispness that's reliable (think target shooting).
It's made by the same company as Geissele I believe. Plus it's only $45 from Brownells.Ordered it today from Midway. Same price as Brownells, but the shipping was a few bucks cheaper. Should have it by first of next week. Thanks for the heads up m8!

Advice on that part is to simply use a separate riser rail or just higher rise mounts. Here's one of my AR with MBUS and P.E.P.R. quick detach mount. Plenty of clearance for both the MBUS and the 40 mm so guess it would do your 44 also. (that's a fat midlength handguard, too, since changed to a MOE).
Getting scope objective up higher on AR also usually improves sighting ergonomics/cheek weld too.
If you want to use your current rings then add a riser, fixed or QD.

I like that QD mount... looks awesome! If I go with a higher mount, I'll not be able to zip the case shut. It's already a pretty snug fit as it is. But I do miss my MBUS sights. How high is the mount, from the top of the rings to the base? I'll get an updated pic of my AR posted in the next day or two.

Thanks, m8! I'll check it out. That price sure beats $200~ for the Timney. Looking at the Brownells site right now... that looks like the whole enchilada. What's the typical stock trigger pull? I noticed that this unit set for 6.5 lbs and doesn't appear to be adjustable. The reviews on Brownells and Midway are very positive. You're referrring to this, yes?

I've been considering upgrading the stock trigger on my Mohawk Armory MA15. I've read the reviews on the Timney and the Jewel triggers. I'm leaning toward the #3 Timney, but open to suggestions and experiences from other TGOers. I do mostly 100+ yd. target shooting at OK Corral in Woodbury, but my rifle is also a primary self-defense weapon... in a SHTF, WROL situation. Also, the differences/advantages between a single and two stage trigger?
I recently picked up a Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44 scope and have decommissioned the cheapo BSA red-dot sight that came with the rifle. I like the scope, still getting used to it, finding the "sweet spot" for the cheek weld and dealing with scope "shadow". The one thing that irks me is that I had to remove the MBUS rear sight to mount the scope. Perhaps the scope can be mounted further out on the pictanney rail, but I think the restrictive 4" eye relief is going to be a problem.
Advice anyone?

Never seen anything like it. I'm not sure how functional it would be, other than a very interesting conversation piece. Imagine one of those on your coffee table, or your desk at work. :ugh:

Saw a couple of 1000 rd. 5.56 boxes last night for $447.00 in the WM I was in. I'd never seen that before.

The other night I picked up a 1K round case of Federal 5.56mm 62gr. "green tip" penetrators from the Walmart on Old Fort Pkwy. in Murfreesboro for $448. With tax that came to about $490. Unless you're a reloader, which I'm obviously not, that's a heck of a deal considering what it was a few months ago, and that's if you could find it! This is not ammo that I'll be shooting at the range, I've got 55gr ball for that. I'm saving this stuff for special occasions. Although they only had 2-cases on the shelf, the clerk said they had more in the back. YMMV. My advice to anyone that has an AR15, or something similar, that's clearly stamped "5.56 NATO" on the barrel, would be to pick up a case if you swing it. I kicked around the idea of purchasing it online, but when I factored-in the shipping & handling, plus the wait time, I opted for this route. Besides, when I want/need something, I don't want to wait a week, or two, or get an email saying "we sold out and it's on back order". :rant:

OnTarget in Murfreesboro; 615.890.2960, has military surplus AR & AK magazines in stock. I just picked up a couple for my AR. The AR magazines are manufactured by OKay industries and the AK mags are Tapco. They've got a slew of them, but I imagine they won't last long. The AR mags going for $25 a pop, not sure about the AK mags, and there's a limit of 5 per customer. Get 'em while they're hot!

Based upon what I've read others say on here, you can't sell ammo that you reloaded.
What about paying someone for their time to reload your own brass, provided you supply the bullets, primers and powder?

It looks like fitting that AR in the case, and getting it to snap shut, might be a bit of a challenge. Do you have to remove the EOTech? I presume that's what it is :confused:

why did you feel it necessary to advise the LEO you were carrying?
just curious as to your position on this matter.
I'll assume you're question was addressed to me.
Three reasons...
1) If he'd run a check on my DL #, he would've seen that I had an HCP, and might have asked me why I hadn't informed him that I was carrying. I know that in TN I'm not required to do so, but he may not. As it turned out, he merely looked at my DL & HCP, didn't check my car registration, run the tags or anything. He said "Be careful", and sent me on my way.
2) I carry my HCP underneath my DL in my wallet. When I remove the DL, the HCP is clearly visible. Had he noticed that, I probably would've been asked if I was carrying and I wasn't going to lie to him. And I wasn't going to the take the stance of "I don't have answer that question", or similar bollocks.
3) Courtesy.

I had a similar incident in Morristown a couple of months ago. The missus and I had gone up there one weekend to visit her mother and brother. I'd gone to Walmart to pick up something and got lost in all the construction going on in the area. It was dark and I'd evidently run a stop sign in the construction/parking area and got pulled over by MPD. When asked for my driver's license, I told him I was armed and was reaching for my wallet. He looked at it, and my HCP, told me why he pulled me over and sent me on my way w/o a ticket. He was courteous and so was I, no problems.
